FT. MCMURRAY - Radioman and long time Roxette supporter Ian Seggie of Ft. McMurray, Canada has spoken to EMI Canada. According to Ian's sources Roxette will be making an appearance in Canada later this year, so far unclear as of when, but places like Montréal, Toronto and Vancouver have been named. Combining this with Per's hints in German interviews that the tour will be prolonged after August, maybe even into 2012, this surely sounds like good news.
After selling out 3 shows of 4 in sunny South Africa, Roxette has added two more shows to their South African leg of the Charm School World Tour. According to Jacaranda FM, local radio station, the demand was so huge that they have added more shows. The station, alongside other SA radio stations, have also started playing the new single "She's Got Nothing On (But The Radio)".

MOSCOW - Roxette has been in Moscow, Russia doing TV for new year's eve. Unfortunately there will be no "She's Got Nothing On (But the Radio)" as Roxette recorded "The Look" and "Sleeping in My Car", and probably not live. Per comments to TDR that it was "great fun with great people" and adds on Twitter that Roxette will see its Russian fans again in March.
Roxette, among other acts, will perform – as rumored – at Polsat TV's New Year's Eve party in Warsaw, Poland. Per and Marie will perform some of their biggest hits like "Joyride" and "It Must Have Been Love". Roxette will arrive in Warsaw for the occasion on a chartered plane.
The concert starts at 20.00 and will last at least five and a half hours. This is the third Polsat New Year's party. "It will be enormously fun!!" Per comments to The Daily Roxette.
(Updated) - Another concert has been added to Roxette's tour schedule. Fans in Hungary will get to see the duo and band perform live in Budapest on June 1.
Roxette's management, however, has also let us know that the rumored date for Stockholm, Sweden is not correct.
Update November 17: Athens, Greece on May 27th has now been confirmed and added to the list.
Roxette is setting off on this long-awaited world tour in 2011. The band kicks off in Kazan, Russia on March 1st and will cover at least five continents during the year. Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle are returning to the world stage full of new enthusiasm after their six sold-out concerts this summer. While Roxette toured Europe in 2001, their last real world tour took place in 1994-95 in conjunction with the “Crash! Boom! Bang!” album.
“If you’d asked me a couple of years ago, if there would ever be a new Roxette tour I would have very quickly said 'No!',” says singer, guitarist and songwriter Per Gessle. “Knowing what Marie (Fredriksson, lead vocalist) had to go through in recovering from her severe illness, this is not only unbelievable, it seems almost magical to me. It will be wonderful to meet all our audience on Planet Earth again.”
“I’ve been longing and hoping for this since 2002. It makes me incredibly happy to know we’re going to meet our fans all around the world again,” says Marie.
Besides the tour, Roxette fans can look forward to a brand new album in the first quarter of 2011.
