New video available on Swedish sites
Written by roxeteer on September 17, 2002 to Video.
STOCKHOLM - Roxette’s latest video, “A Thing About You”, is now available in streaming Real format on two Swedish news portals. The story of the video features a woman and a man living next door, longing for each other. The video was directed by Jonas Åkerlund.
It seems that in the Aftonbladet version, video’s aspect ratio is a little wrong. TV4.se’s version looks better.

More Roxette hits on VH-1 tonight
Written by Heart_2002 on August 27, 2002 to Video.
Tonight at 1:30 a.m., VH-1 Europe will broadcast another classic Greatest Hits show featuring six or seven of Roxette’s catalogue of hits. VH-1 choses the videos themselves, but it’s probable that “The Look”, “Joyride”, “Listen to Your Heart” and “It Must Have Been Love” will be on included in the set. It’s also quite probable that the last Roxette hit single, “Milk and Toast and Honey,” will also be shown.
Aftonbladet calls Åkerlund Roxette’s third member

STOCKHOLM - Jonas Åkerlund is referred to as Roxette’s third member in Sunday’s edition of the Swedish tabloid newspaper Aftonbladet because when Per and Marie release a new album, Jonas seems to always somehow be involved.
Along with this interview with Jonas, the newspaper published several photographs taken during the video shoot in Stockholm this past week.

Much Music Canada played “Milk And Toast And Honey” video
Written by MuSicGuRu on November 18, 2001 to Video.
On Friday Much Music Canada, the largest music video channel in Canada played Roxette’s latest video “Milk And Toast And Honey” for the first time. This was a surprise, since EMI Canada has not promoted the “Room Service” album or any of its singles at all.

Video - now online - has Roxette on “Late Night” talk show
Written by PerAndren on May 22, 2001 to Video.
STOCKHOLM - “Roxette has changed style. In the new video “Real Sugar” they’re both tougher and funnier than before,” reports Aftonbladet in today’s edition.
The Daily Roxette reported in a previous article that the video features Muppet-like puppets that look like the Ramones. They are the house band on “Dick Latka’s Late Night Show,” a classic American-style talk show where all are puppets except for Per and Marie.
“The video is supercool. Warm, rough and tough,” says Per. “We’ve never done anything like it, and it was really cool to play with the Ramones,” he said with a laugh.
“After 39 singles, it’s not that easy to have fresh ideas… but I think we’ve done it. This is one of our best videos,” Gessle stated.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Aftonbladet has updated their article to include both RealVideo and Quicktime versions of the full-length video. Caricatures’s of David Letterman (initials D.L.), host of the “Late Show” on CBS, always emphasize his big teeth. Seems director Jesper Hiro had Letterman in mind when creating Dick Latka (initials D.L.).
“Real Sugar” puppets turn out to be real rockers
Written by Lars-Erik_Olson on May 12, 2001 to Video.
When Per, answering a question from The Daily Roxette, said that the “Real Sugar” video would feature puppets, many of our readers weren’t quite sure what to make of that. The concept could either be really great… or just plain stupid.
“We’re using puppets,” Per told our Visa Kopu at a press conference in Helsinki. “Marie and I are the only real people in the video. We have a puppet band looking like The Ramones. The video starts with two puppets watching ’The Centre Of The Heart’ video on TV.”
We’re pleased to report that director Jesper Hiro’s concept worked out well, as you can perhaps see for yourself in the publicity photo below obtained from EMI Sweden.
