Singing in the rain
Written by tevensso on July 15, 2004 to Gyllene Tider.
HALMSTAD (UPDATED) - The gates opened at 5 o’clock, Örjans vall was transformed into a huge carnival area, with GT-karaoke, food stands, beer stands and the merchandise stands, which featured loads of different things.
At 7 The Latin Kings came out, were truly unnoticed by the audience, so they left after 25 minutes. Pugh Rogefeldt joined later and played most of his hits, but in the downpour most people only cared about the wetness…
Gyllene Tider entered the stage a few minutes after 9, and then the rain was forgotten. The boys played for almost two hours. The show consisted of Per’s standard banter, with some additions from Micke “Syd”. Gyllene Tider played old material for the most part, the setlist is almost identical to the one from 1996. After only nine songs the audience cried for “Här kommer alla känslorna” so Per said sure, we’ll play that, and they did. While Per and MP performed the number the rest of the band left the stage. Micke “Syd” explains “It’s Per’s solo song, then he should perform it solo as well.” Per also tells that they had planned to play “Känslorna” but not at that point in the show, but since the audience demanded it they decided to go for it!
The concert got raving reviews by Expressen’s Anders Nunstedt (5/5) and lukewarm reviews by Aftonbladet’s Per Bjurman (3/5). At this point TDR has not yet seen what Hallandsposten’s Jan-Owe Wikström has written about the show(s).
Enjoy the setlist and the fact that the Thursday concert was performed in perfect weather and with an even better Gyllene Tider on stage…

Pity they left out Skicka ett vykort älskling for Varje gang det regnar. Don’t like that song too much. They should include “72”!!!

Yea, Skicka ett vykort is great! Varje gång det regnar wasn´t good I think. The audience did not sing along so good. I was in the front row in the middle, same place as the first gig! GREAT =) I was even on a pic in todays aftonbladet, so good place had i =) 2 great gigs so far! can´t wait for sunday.

they played 3 of my fav Gt songs;
Fån telefon
Ska vi älska, så ska vi älska till Buddy Holly
(Kom så ska vi) Leva livet, and would be great if in the next concerts they play “harplinge” and “faller ner på knä”

Great and BIG setlist!! Wow!
I only wonder what “Här kommer alla känslorna” was doing there... :P

great for Varge Gang Det Regn!!!!!It’s one of my fave new one!!!!!!

They could play 50 songs, and there’d still be plenty more we’d like... good setlist though.
Här kommer alla känslorna isn’t a great idea though... as much as i love mazarin - there’s so many gyllene tider songs to choose from, we don’t need per solo ones too (unless they’re TWATG songs *sigh*).
I’m only speaking as someone who’ll be watching the dvd though :P

So GT on stage at 9, gates opens at 5, when did latin kings start to play, at 7?! so theres a 2 hours wait until something starts to happen, is that so.

Roxette is inactive at the moment, so is Marie, while Gyllene Tider is on tour. If you don’t like it maybe you should read another site?

@anonymous: The Daily Gessle... The Daily GT... I’ll bet you were up all night thinking those up, eh?
Here’s a thought of my own: Why do the people who come up with this brilliant suggestion always log in as anonymous? Come on, show your face so we can bask in the glow of your super-human intelligence!

Is there someone who can translate the Expressen article? If my poor swedish is right, it says Per had the worst day of his life?! What happened? I really hope I´m wrong here...
tevensso (moderator) said on July 16, 2004 22:09:
The article refering to “Gessle’s worst day ever” is from 1996... So it’s OLD news.
ATLTK said on July 16, 2004 22:16:
but hey who could expect something else than old news from expressen
Nox1983 said on July 16, 2004 22:31:
bup!
at least we have GT news, or Per´s... many people complain about this... (i used to complain too). But think about it; Marie still “disapeared” and very soon Per will take a break, so there will not be news... what we gonna do???
Junkie said on July 16, 2004 23:28:
Oh... :(
Why haven’t they played 72 and some other songs from the recent album like “Du maste skamta”?

“Här kommer alla känslorna” without percussion and organ (keyboard?) ?!?!? How it is possible?
Jud (moderator) said on July 18, 2004 08:50:
yay back from Hamburg now... and Halmstad :P Last minute planed trip! Totally worth it, GT rocked! :)))
Jud (moderator) said on July 18, 2004 13:57:
we were in a nice place.. within the “protected” area but at the end, next to the fence and after the guards and it was great, no pushing people behind, the guards close to stop any drunk from going freaky at any moment... and great view of the overall show but without being too far + fantastic sound :P
I found “Solsken” and “Tuffa tider” a bit weak live and didn’t really get the “Här kommer..” (guess next Rox tour we’ll get to hear Marie sing one of her solo songs in English ;))
It was even great that we could find that great spot even after The latin kings + Pugh finished singing ;) Good we didn’t have to stand them - they first sucked big time and the second was ok but too long...
Anyway, great show :)

Does anybody know if Majsan attended or is going to attend any of Gyllene gigs during this tour? It will be so nice of her to join them on stage!
