Tracklisting announced for “Love Peas: The Ballad Hits”

STOCKHOLM - The tracklisting for the new compilation album, which will be titled “Love Peas: The Ballad Hits,” was released by EMI today and published on Roxette’s own website.

  The tracks are: 1. A Thing About You; 2. It Must Have Been Love; 3. Listen To Your Heart; 4. Fading Like A Flower; 5. Spending My Time; 6. Queen Of Rain; 7. Almost Unreal; 8. Crash! Boom! Bang!; 9. Vulnerable; 10. You Don’t Understand Me; 11. Wish I Could Fly; 12. Anyone; 13. Salvation; 14. Milk And Toast And Honey; 15. Breathe

  And on the Limited Edition EP: 1. The Weight Of The World; 2. It Hurts; 3. See Me; 4. Every Day.

I don’t know why they choose “Love Peas” and “Pop Peas” (for the uptempo compilation) as part of the titles.

And I don’t know, I expected another song selection, they could have been more... brave? It’s too typicall (but I’m gonna buy it, anyway!). :))

I think it’s great that there’s a real title in addition to “the ballad hits”, much more special. The tracklisting is what I expected, only miss Run To You. Why do they always skip it? Still big in german radio.

Love Peas. OMG! That’s hilarious! It’s probably one of Per’s funny ideas. I’m sure there’s something interesting behind the title.

I’m also disappointed that “Run To You” didn’t make the cut. What’s up with that? Is it being saved for the uptempo collection instead? Seems odd that it would make the pop collection over this one - considering “Almost Unreal” made the cut.

Come on guys... Think of love and peas for a moment and you will finally get the meaning to it. HAHAHA! I looked at it for a while and then thought ’Oh well, Per likes these “wide-eyed boy with a red balloon” and “green green tambourine” phrases. He is so colourful. And I believes he loves IKEA®.’ Yup! I don’t get two things regarding this album:
1. Love and Peas??? Well maybe he wanted to say assorted love bits and pieces. I dunno! Haven’t come to a term for it yet.
2. I am so happy that The Look, Dressed for Success and Joyride are not in. I love those songs but get on my nerves when I study. Oh I guess I forgot this was a ballads album. Well I guess they left a few behind. So far away, Things will never be the same, Run to you, Never is a long time... They could have 2 CDs with all Roxette Love Songs in and I would pay anything for it. Not that I won’t buy this. I hope they release it in North America.
Anyways yeah! So this was some awkward news today. I sure will have lots to think about before going to bed, eh?

Well, there’s a lot missing from this album in my opinion. Not only is Run To You missing but what about Silver Blue, Perfect Day, Go To Sleep, Beautiful Things, The Rain, So Far Away or Never Is A Long Time and others. They seem to have chosen singles that only came out as singles and songs that weren’t singles aren’t permitted by EMI. I’m really happy that were getting all these new articles–Go LARS!!!! I will still buy the album but I think I might make my own Ballads cd and “burn” them on my computer and create a mix of my own(like everyone else) peace

I hate this tracklist! They could have put another 3 songs in there - not just singles (since they obviously are not always the best Roxsongs). “Love Peas”...That’s just stupid!

In my case it’s only See Me i remember??

per claims all the songs are previously unreleased: “see me” (an unfinished version) was available on the “salvation” single but i guess (and hope!) they’ve made another, more proper version of this fantastic track!

I‘d prefer a new song instead of “See me”.
I like that song of course ,but I have it already like almost all of us.
Maybe it will be a new version, but a totally new song would be better.

Well, I would have to agree with the last statement. We tend to complain and not be happy with what they(Roxette/EMI) give us. It’s just wishful thinking if they could have put all of our favorites on this new cd–but it’s too impossible since there’s so many Rox songs we really love. Everyone is talking about this “See Me” single or b-side to Salvation. Is this a ballad or uptempo and I hate to be a burden but does anyone know the lyrics? Still can’t wait. But I’m still looking forward to the “Peabeats” or uptempo’s. choa for now. peace

“See Me” is a very slow (maybe the slowest they ever did) and ambient ballad. It sounds a little bit like Enya!

@ FERDAN i think see me which was on Salcvation-single was a studio version; i don’t think it was demo; i have it only in mp3 so i’m not sure - but this version is wonderful; probably - along with “What’s she like” - the best Rox song ever. It’s so beautiful!! I just hope this LIMITED EDITION won’t be SOOOO limited. i don’t know what would i do if i didnt make it to buy it.

Why do you all complain about Run to you not being in this compilation album?? In my opinion, Run to you Is not a ballad... more like mid-tempo or something. But surely not a ballad like the IMHBL or WICF...

I wonder why they didn’t include “It Will Take A Long, Long Time” considering it made it in a Julia Roberts/Richard Gere movie and what about Per! We’re also missing “It Takes You No Time To Get Here”???????? At least Per would then have another ballad for himself. And I’m really surprised they didn’t put “Silver Blue” on the ballad’s cd considering this was a great and well-known single not just in Sweden but other foreign countries when they released it.??? Oh well, what can you do–they have their limits like everyone else. peace.

I think it’s a good title. As someone’s already said that “Greatest Ballad Hits” or something like that would be boring - this would definitely suck! I’m glad to see “Queen of Rain” on this compilation =o) I can’t wait no more...I just wanna have it...

If only singles are included, why not “Run to you”?
Let’s try to include RUN TO YOU in the compilation.
“Run to you” or a ballad from “Pearls of passion”. “Church of your heart” would be nice also, but “My world my love my life” that would have been a nice single for the “Room Service” could also be inside.

An EP with “See me”... I think “Crazy about you” is a wonderfull song, one of their bests, it should be included, it also could be in the ballad compilation together with RUN TO YOU.
The EP could include all Roxette’s great b-side ballads “The sweet hello the sad goodbye”, “The voice”, “happy together”...

In the spring released that the tracklistting will be obviously:

09. Sleeping in my car

Woud be nice to include “Lies”, a new dance version of “Crush on you” or “Make my head go pop”, a rock version of “7twenty7” like the demo, or a single from “Pearls of Passion” like “Like lovers do” or so.

C’mon try to complete the 80 minutes of the CD
