EMI Sweden comments on tour/release “rumours”
Written by Sascha on January 23, 2002 to Live.
STOCKHOLM - Inferring that the report published yesterday in Metro – Sweden’s largest morning newspaper – was fabricated, EMI Music Sweden posted this message today on Roxette.se, Roxette’s own “official” website:
“This is an official comment on rumours regarding a forthcoming tour, release dates etc. There will be no Roxette tour this summer/year. Per and Marie are in the process of writing new material. There are however no plans to release anything before or during the summer of 2002.”

Paul (two comments ago): I utterly agree with you, dude. I’ve been a fan since I was - what, 16 (I’m 29 now) - and few bands have come up to the same standard as consistently as Roxette. Yes, I’m a fan of The Lightning Seeds, Republica, Garbage... but NObody does it for me like P&M. I still consider the Night To Remember (Wembley Arena, Oct 20 1991) as one of the greatest nights of my life, if not THE greatest. We were going “ROXETTE!!! ROXETTE!!! ” loooong before Tourism.
I want to feel like that again.

Don´t worry people! Let´s thank Per and Marie for their beautiful tour and this really fantastic album last year. I think they need time for their own, to write and to spend time with their families and friends. Because this is the reason for their great success.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MARIE AND PER! THANX A LOT FOR A GREAT YEAR! TACK SA MYCKET!
SEE YOU AGAIN!
