STOCKHOLM (Updated) - Per writes us:
Jeezus - no order in the bedroom! This morning I found a very early demo of "Wish you the best" called "Drum", which we just have to use on new TWATG-release!!! So… WYTB is left out in the cold… the album release is set for early May. that's the most recent whisper in the EMI corridors…
Update: Release date is May 14. Still no word on where it's being released besides Sweden.

i have too agree it does smell an awfull lot like a aprilfools joke to me.
But hopefully it’s not :D

I don’t think the movie soundtrack is a joke. The movie is real, at least. Here’s the profile in the IMDB:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1139797/
There’s no mention about the soundtrack (or Gessle), but this is a comment written by an user:
“Shame about the music, which was too attention grabbing and melodramatic”.
Attention grabbing, so... it could be Per, don’t you think? :)

If thats a joke, then a funny one! Does the demo sound as rocky as it is called?

Gessle: Det spelar ingen roll vad som skrivs, bara bilden är bra :D

Duh, we wouldn’t put out a joke the day before...
By the way, you’re in the wrong thread now.

Can’t wait for the TWAG demos. It’s my favorite Gessle album. It’s a great album to listen while driving so...time is on your side Per.

What does it mean: “WYTB is left out in the cold…” ? I hope that they won’t exclude demo of Wish you the best (Nov 3, 1996) from the release.

Huh?? I always thought that Per is so pedantic tidily...eveything has it’s place ...but not his demos it seems...LOL (I’m still wondering about a song called “Loud clothes”...I read about the songtitle once and found it funny...PER KEEP ON SEARCHING!)
Yep..now I wonder too...left in the cold means that the deadline for TWATG-re-release is already gone and we have to wait ?? Well in case of that......hmm...what about releasing it as a B-side with that little horror-tune. ;)
@tevensson: so..what funny news will we read tomorrow?? I’m prepared! ;)

Demos in the bedroom....don’t wanna know where this man keeps his socks: in the icebox?? :-D
Happy to hear something concerning the release time :)
mareo said on April 1, 2008 13:40:
The more different the demo is from the original, the better - so it would seem more like a new song.
Wouldn’t be like paradise to be able to look in to the all those places where Per keeps demos... Just dreamin’, dreamin’ of demo in white!!!

@eduard33: As I understood, they left out Wish You The Best demo (Nov 3, 1996) and put an earlier demo Drum instead.

@Still no word on where it’s being released besides Sweden.
Nevermind. Just bought it from Bengans. And the price is good, very good. 159 + 45 SEK. Cheaper than most of CDs released here in Czech Republic. Hurry yeah!

May 14, that’s a word :)
Hope it will be released abroad....
Edit: CDON says May7. Strange...
7-Twenty-7 said on April 9, 2008 22:22:
I don’t count with an international release, besides Sweden/Europe. Makes sense, as there is not a market for this album anywhere else.
randall said on April 9, 2008 23:02:
but aren’t swedes more likely to swedish stuff instead of a per’s album in english?
Jud (moderator) said on April 10, 2008 04:32:
well it would be a liiiittle bit weird if the album wouldn’t be released in his homecountry ;)

It was released in Australia way back in 97, so i suppose there might be a very slim chance they may release this version. Although i don’t think i’ll be waiting for it.
About “Drum”, i’d rather the tracklist stay as it is, and any other things that Per might find in his sock draw be put up for download thru BadHairDay.
Although if the original demo of WYTB sounds almost the same as the final cut, then maybe it’s better like this. Hmmm?
AURYTE said on April 11, 2008 05:28:
@abysmo: is it possible to pre-order the album now?
Yeah, the 14th of May is the date :)
As for it being the international release, I doubt that it will be released outside of Sweden. Maybe Germany??? I guess, most Scandinavian record shops will import the album. The World According To Gessle was released in Australia and other countries because the situation was different. Now the things have changed...

The new edition of TWATG will be available on amazon’s German website after its release on May 14th. Unfortunately, the website doesn’t provide any clear information about whether May 14th is the official release date for Germany or whether the album is imported from another country (e.g. Sweden). But nevertheless - a great message for all the German Gessle fans.
Kerstin said on April 12, 2008 20:58:
Well, they say it’s an import so I don’t think May 14th is the official release date for Germany. I mean, why importing a CD when it is released regulary in that country....
mr jefferson said on April 12, 2008 22:03:
@Kerstin: I’m afraid, you’re right. Haven’t seen that it said “IMPORT” - so it’s really not likely to be released in Germany. Pity, but at least a chance to get it...

Why do I smell an april joke in the last two pieces of news... Isn’t it a little early boys? April’s not for another two days... ;o)))
