Questions actually require some thought and there’s even a tricky one in there...good fun!

See I have an issue with question 2. Do they mean name 2 songs from Tourism that have appeared on the same single as in B-sides or as A-side Tourism single with a B-side from Tourism which equates to 2 songs. So what they’re essentially asking is that an A-side single they released featured 2 B-sides and BOTH B-sides are taken from the Tourism album in the exact form? If so, I think we’ve got an issue on our hands here :)
We all know that there are few songs from the Tourism album that have re-appeared as B-sides in different versions than they appear on the Album. Some ex-Tourism songs have re-surfaced with not only a funnier shade of red but also a more “feminine touch” so to speak and another song has a drum beat and ninety-something next to it’s title. Does that count? They’re technically NOT taken from the Tourism album then...right? Am I being anal? Bottom line is, if I listen to these songs on the single and then listen to the Tourism album, they’ll sound different. So what do we do?
Hmm, bit dodgey this question if you ask me...not that anyone did :) And don’t get me started on the different tracklisting of singles for different markets :-p

Even though I am aware that the more “femme” version of a Tourism song and the re-vamped drummier version of another song never sat side by side on the same single so I’m acutely aware of this and do not need you smart arses pointing it out to me :)
However, if you really wanna be anal one could argue that the “femme” version did sit on the same Single as a track from Tourism but not the version from Tourism, that version on Tourism LP had a lot more backing vocalists then the A-side “single” version.
See what I mean? :) I don’t think it’s a fair question. Where’s the umpire?!? :-p

And another thing!!!!! ;-p
Does that sales figure include singles or just albums? These things need to be clarified and specified people!!!!!
:)

Hej Roxwriter I’m stuck on the Tourism Question as well. As for how many records sold, according to the mods it includes Albums & Singles.
Cheers

Well I guess the safe option is to go for the single with the title “slightly unbelievable”. But only of course the UK version....grrr confusing. . .
Room_service said on December 7, 2006 05:17:
I guess there is more than one correct answer for that question. I already found 3 possible answers...
Sascha said on December 7, 2006 08:22:
“Slightly Unbelievable” ;-D isn’t from Tourism, but there are 3 possible couples with international tracklisting: 1 with an a-side from Tourism, 2 older singles where the songs reappear on Tourism (possibly in different versions)...
Roxwriter said on December 7, 2006 09:24:
Umm...yes...but the UK version of “slightly unbelievable” features a song about an oddly shaped stretch of water and a more up-tempo version song about paws.
That’s what I was referring to.

@roxwriter: your riddles are adorable! I would go for the same two songs as mentioned in your last post ( taken from Sightly unbelievable single :D :D :D)
But I agree, this question should be clarified!
thenicekai said on December 7, 2006 10:20:
To make it clear: What counts are the versions as mentioned in the discography of roxette.se. And we only ask for the songs, no matter which version.
Btw, funny conversation.

I think the questions are pretty challenging.......its definitely not off the cuff questions and probably so bloody typical of Per!!!!!!!.....but i think that way it eliminates alot of “visiting” people and one needs to have read or listened to a couple of interviews with them to get some of them right.........I mean I ve been reading their interviews ever since I was 11 years old and i needed to think about it for a while......and even then I m not really sure about one of the questions!!
Good luck ladies and gentlefolk.....
AURYTE said on December 7, 2006 16:27:
I still haven’t read the questions. I’ll wait til my exam stuff is over, so I can pull my brain only on Roxette competition ;)
By the way, RoxMas, that’s cool :D

Would anyone be so kind to please clarify about this:
1) Does one have to be subscribed to the newsletter and/or the forum to enter the contest?
2) What does “You can only enter once.” mean exactly? What does it apply to: the computer from which one participates, one’s home address, what?... (For example, can’t two persons (two or more, for instance brothers or whatever) take part by using the same computer and having the same home address, or?...)
Thank you. :)
@ Auryte: Best luck to your exams! ;)

Well for me the 2nd question has a LOT of possibilities. I have listed at least 7 singles with Tourism’s songs - that makes 13 possible songs - So I really don’t know what to answer. I guess I will name my 2 favourites Tourism songs and hope for the best!!!
Good luck to everyone!!!!
Cheers from Mexico.

1: No
2. Yes, different names are OK. But you can’t participate twice using “Per Gessle” for instance.
gyllene_tjej said on December 8, 2006 20:57:
a question to the mods (based on thenicekai’s answer: >And we only ask for the songs, no matter which version.) So, if the particular songs are 1)ive or 2)studio recorded on Tourism BUT on the actual single they happen to be 1) single A side, 2) demo - DOES such choice COUNT as correct?
I’d really like to have this question answered (if only for doublechecking) rather than send in my answers on the spot and waste the (slim but still) chance I’m given. Thank you loads!
thenicekai said on December 8, 2006 21:13:
@gyllene_tjej: That is exactly what I said.

So the “slightly unbelievable” single is out of question.... ’Cause the one included in the list (roxette.se) is the 2 track edition... That’s ok? Anyway, we still have many more options... (I prefer the older singles... they are more secure..;))
Big hug to everybody there (no matter language, country, gay-or-not, successfull bussinessman or whatever..hahaha. Keep calm, people!.
