IMHBL dropped at last minute from Unplugged release

Written by roxeteer on November 9, 2000 to .

Previously, TDR reported that the release of an MTV Unplugged DVD would contain “It Must Have Been Love” by Roxette. Contrary to the pre-release information, the song is not included – neither on the VHS version nor the DVD version.

Elisa Peimer of Sony Music, in an e-mail to TDR, said:

MTV pursued licensing the track for both formats and had every intention of using the track (which is why it was included in the pre-release plans), but did not receive the clearances necessary to include it on this release.

This means that there still aren’t any DVDs that contain Roxette’s live music or music videos. Roxette hasn’t given any indication of plans to release their videos in DVD format.

Bad news but good in the sense this should prompt Roxette to release a DVD video album themselves including rare bits and pieces.

I hope so, Kashee! Anyway it’s sad news....

EMI SUCKS!!!! THEY SHOULD REPLACE EMI!!! THEY SHOULD TRY WARNER!
MAYBE WARNER WILL GIVE ATTENTION TO THEM.

I don’t agree with the latest one. These sort of things can also happen (though it’s sucking). Apart of it...I think it ’s not Roxette, it’s the general REPLY to Roxette that’s no more what it used to be. The world is someway distract in these days, but I’m sure the future will bring a positive change. I won’t stop hoping - and BELIEVING in Per & Marie!

This is really sad for a Roxette fan because songs like IMHBL should never be dropped from anything. I hope Roxette finds a solution to these “recordings” problems to make everybody happy.
