Gyllene Tider releases 90s compilation

The Official Roxette Fanclub has contacted Per, because there have been rumors circulating over a new Gyllene Tider release. Here is Per’s reply:
- Good morning.
- No, it’s not true. However, there will be a “new” GT CD out in mid-July called “Konstpaus - samtliga inspelningar från 90-talet och lite till…”. As you might understand from the title, the album consists of all the material GT recorded in the 90s plus the “Per’s Garage” recordings, freshly squeezed by Michael Ilbert (new mixes). This is the running order:
- 1. Småstad
- 2. Gå & fiska!
- 3. Det är över nu
- 4. Kung av sand
- 5. Juni, juli, augusti
- 6. Jo-anna farväl
- 7. Om hon visste vad hon ville
- 8. Vandrande man
- 9. Det är blommor som har fångat dig
- 10. Faller ner på knä
- 11. Ny pojkvän
- 12. Oh yea oh yea (oh oh)
- 13. Harplinge
- 14. Ingen går i ringen
- 15. Solens vän

This album has been listed, apparently by mistake, in several online record stores with the name “www.Gyllenetider985.com”. The domain gyllenetider985.com has not been registered.

Hmmmm, not one single new song.
Why don´t they release something interesting, like a dvd with all roxette videos from the very beginning till salvation, including some footage, which has not been officialy released until now. THAT would be great. I think, this kind of cds, which they plan to release is mainly bought by fans. the problem is, that nearly all fans already have this 15 songs, why should they buy them again?

Well... this is great for us fans overseas. I live in Mexico and i must tell you it was HELL to purchase Kompakta Tider and På Väg (i actually ordered to amazon.com and paid an obscene amount of money for them due to DHL and mexican taxes). So i highly appreciate this kind of releases and the fact Per has always taken care on releasing sooner or later demos, b-sides and outtakes. Maybe this release is not alluring for people who owns all these songs, but it is made ONLY for fans... and in these case for all of us who came to know Per, Marie and Gyllene Tider AFTER the international success of Look Sharp!
I think i will be buying it again at amazon, since it is almost imposible to find anything Roxette-related in my city... and anything in Swedish just in my wildest dreams...
So, all of you up there in Sweden can skip it, but i hope you see the real meaning of this to me: I can have an original copy of this stuff now.

Off course we dont need to buy this record. But since most of us are die hard fans we´re sure going to buy it anyway, even if we already have the songs. I just think that theres has been too many GT compilations and that Per should release some intresting stuff instead ( like a Roxette live record or a Roxette DVD).

Yea, I agree, they should make some
X-CD Set of unreleased stuff & some
(backstage!!) Video stuff from the concerts. Some funny and more personal stuff. videos from Marbella & Capri. Per & Pelle playing Tennis. Like that bits in the Atertaget-Video. ’d be finally something different !!!!!

Ofcourse is great that new mixes of the Per’s Garage songs have been made, and it’s a great compilation too.
But still I’d like to see Per release all the old unreleased Gyllene Tider demos which are GREAT! Now you can only find them on rare bootlegs.
But hey, you never know what the future might bring...
So for now: Per’s Garage rules!!!
