Billboard reveals more details of US album

Edel America Records (EAR) has announced a U.S. licensing deal for Swedish pop duo Roxette. The band remains affiliated with EMI in other territories. The first release under the deal will be the compilation “Don’t Bore Us — Get To The Chorus,” which has sold more than 4 million copies since its international debut in October 1995.

A Todd Terry remix of last year’s international release “Wish I Could Fly” is being added to the U.S. version of the compilation. EAR expects to release a new studio album by the band in May 2001.

Editor’s Note: Billboard got this wrong. An EAR spokesperson told TDR that the remix will not be on the album. (Lars-Erik)

I think they’d be better off with a remix of Stars than WICF as I think those remixes were better.

WICF Remixes???? What a curious choice. I never thought that song suited the tempo of the remixes. Yes Stars would be a much better selection, or even better, Crush On You (smile).

I’ve added an Editor’s Note to this article.

I also think that “Crush On You” would be perfect as tge first single in the US. Then “Wish I Could Fly” and then “Stars”.

crush on you is very good, but i think, a little bit too much dance and too less ROCK! Would be a very very very good choise for the first US-comeback-single ... but a more rocky version.
