Cascada single released on CD
Written by colinvdbel on December 8, 2005 to Misc.
On November 18 German dance act Cascada (Natalie Horler) released the CD-maxi single of their cover of Roxette’s “How Do You Do.” The song was first released on a 12” vinyl in September, which was followed by another 12” containing remixes in October. At this moment the cd-maxi is available in Germany and includes eight different mixes of the song. Cascada has had a hit in both Germany and the United States with their single “Everytime We Touch.”
Could it be that another dance cover of a Roxette song will climb the international charts?

In my opinion, this one is actually pretty good. Way better than DHT and Dancing DJ’s...

Listen To Your Heart, Fading Like A Flower, Joyride, How Do You Do!... Hey Per & Marie, the world miss you. The best time for real Rox comeback, the best time for brand new album. Per on tour next year, Marie will come with new swedish album and in 2007... ...Roxette comeback. People still need good music! People still need Roxette.

Bla bla bla... some of you people really need to catch a wake up call!
It’s AWESOME that DJ’s find Roxette’s music usable for the dancefloor. And it’s even better when it charts as well as DHT and Dancin DJ’s (cough).
You people should be ashamed of yourselves. See it as an honour. There are tons of songs these DJ’s could use, but they chose to use Roxette. That should mean something to you.
It’s very clear you dont club/dance and therefore your comments on this matter is redundant.
Cheers

Nice story, wrong day. Today (12-09) another cover version is released: “Fading”.
Would be nice to report on that one instead of the one that´s been in the stores for weeks...

First, LTYH, then FLF, now, HDYD.
Don’t you notice a pattern? (no, I’m not talking about that the singles are in order of apparence)
It’s obvious that they are “warming up” the world for the Roxette Comeback.

A dreadful piece of junk. Best thing about it is that some people MIGHT remember Roxette.

I don’t see this as a honour. I see it as a total lack of creativity. It’s easier to take a song that was already a hit years ago and make a cover than composing a brand new song. This is not a tribute, it’s just an attemp to make money easily.
Cascade version is really bad. I like the intro (when she’s singing without all that noise behind her voice), but after that those drum machines ruin the song. The chorus sucks!

And here is a video that shows how people can party when the DJ plays HDYD.
(sorry for the quality)

What honour are you talking about? It’s just an easy way to get some airplay!

O No, not another cover please!
All these covers ruin the good music of Roxette.
The only thing in common with Roxette is that is a song of Roxette they are covering, there are no other similarities.
Roxette is the Best, covers suck!
