MP’s song fifth in the Finnish Eurovision finals

Written by roxeteer on February 22, 2005 to .

HELSINKI - The song “Everything But Still Nothing,” co-written by Mats “MP” Persson and performed by Christian Forss, didn’t quite make it to the international semifinals in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005. The song got to the second round of the Finnish finals as the sixth and the last song. The second round went better and the song was able to climb, but it ended up at fifth position.

The winner was Geir Rönning with the song “Why.” Geir is originally from Norway where he has also taken part in the local leg of the Eurovision Song Contest. This is his first time in the international contest. His song is written by Mika Toivanen who also wrote the song that represented Finland in the last year’s contest with less than satisfactory results.

For me it’s a good news. MP is too good for such a contest :)

There were many better than MP’s song...It really was terrible! I was ashamed when they mentioned Roxette while introducing the performer of the song... :S

Anyway, good for this Geir dude..he’s been desperately trying to get in the finals for ages now...But Finland will, once again, drop until the Eurovision final...

The song ended up fifth only because Christian Forss performed it and all his young fans voted for him..

Where can you listen to it? I don’t have finnish TV
I want to hear it because some say it’s good and some say it’s not
