Look what I found!:
ROXETTE
Roxette wish that we all
Sweden’s supergroup Roxette have still got “The Look” as they release a new album of pop hits. Back from a five year break they show they’ve still got what it takes.
The Swedish super-duo Roxette (Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessel), have been on top of the charts across the world ever since their big breakthrough with “The Look” in 1989. They have continued to deliver hit after hit, resulting in 40 million records sold all over the world.
But that’s history, today Roxette has released a new CD, “Have A Nice Day.” It has been called the strongest album Roxette have ever recorded and captures everything we’ve always liked about the band but in a new and captivating way.
This 14-track album promises to be Roxette’s finest moment yet. This album has been compared to a Ferrari, an updated classic. The first track to be released as a single is “I Wish I could Fly” and is true to the Roxette style. It will doubtless gain them many more fans. As Marie explains, “It’s very Roxette-ish but also very much now.”
On this album there are three songs with memorable melodies which makes it easier to stand out: “Crush On You,” “Stars” and “Anyone”.
The album had four producers working on it! Why? Per comments, “There has never been so much fighting during a Roxette recording. But then we’ve never made such a good album either.” “Quality-wise the album grew better towards the end,” he adds.
The Roxette duo were a little hesitant to release “Anyone” because it was too predictable and typical of the band’s previous work.
On “You Can’t Put Your Arms Around What’s Already Gone” you’ll find a symphony of synths buzzing around; the work of producer Christoffer Lundqvvist.
This album takes Marie’s vocals to a new level above harmonious string arrangements and subtle bass guitar.
It’s been five years since they released this new CD. Is this CD a comeback? Marie explains, “We needed a break. We worked almost non-stop with Roxette from 1988 until 1995” or as Per says “Let’s just say we took a long lunch.”

HAND was in 1999 released, so it must be 4 years old.
A real positive review, although I wouldn’t call it Roxette’s strongest album (In fact I would call it the weakest, but ok.)

Just because Roxette didn’t use their “normal” Instruments doesn’t mean it was a bad album...The album is lyricly a MASTERPIECE and It is all what I want from Roxette and MORE. The album had stuff on that was going on then and it and old classic style songs its had EVERYTHING you could want from an album
