“Silly Really” released in the US - sort of
Written by TheRain1981 on July 1, 2009 to Internet, Per Gessle and Releases. Source: Amazon.com.
BYRON CENTER - The U.S. division of Amazon MP3 has Per Gessle's "Silly Really" available to download (for $0.99) with a release date of June 17, 2009 on Gessle's own Elevator Entertainment company. No sign yet of the "Party Crasher" album, however. Maybe this is a sign of more things to come for the U.S. market… at least when it comes to the digital realm?

Ooh. Thanks for posting my article. :)
Anyhow, I think it’s great news that “Silly Really” makes it to the digital realm in the U.S. I know that it had a shot on Sirius XM for a while. I still think it’s a very cool song, but the market is so different now than it was even 5 years ago. I’m not expecting anything big from it, but it’s nice to be able to see it made available for the U.S. fans.

Hopefully the song will cause some motion in the States.
I just heard Silly Really beeing played on the Retro Rewind radiostation in the States. I like to listen to that station when I’m surfing on the net. It was the first time I heard the song although they play Roxette songs. The host called Per his friend and talked about the upcoming soloalbum release. Thumbs up and the hope lives on. :)

I’ve been a long time follower of The Daily Roxette (Pre-HAND days). After all these years, I decided to sign up to post.
I just downloaded Silly Really (via amazon) and love it! I can’t wait for the full album to become available as a download in the US. I would love to purchase the Gessle Europe dvd/cd however, most oversea DVD’s do not work in the US. Found out the hard way when I ordered the DVD with all of Roxette’s videos. I got it to work on an old PC, but not my regular dvd player. Hoping for an eventual digital download.
I let my 11yr old nephew listen to Silly Really and he loves it. I just put some of my fave Rox/Gessle songs on his IPOD and he is really digging them. Looks a like a new Rox fan has been born!
PEACE ALL and HAVE FUN!
