It’s alright.
Nothing out of the ordinary, though.
Take care!

I’m having the same difficulties. I don’t have Quicktime, so installed it, and it still isn’t working. Damnit
From the comments though, I take it I haven’t missed much?

I didn’t like it that much and I don’t like the song either, but it was kind of funny moments in the video.

The song is nice, I like it. Much better than some instrumentals we can find on the SOAP album. But the video... there is not much there. Just assorted images all glued together, with a music background. I was waiting for something crazy, but with some plot or idea behind it. This is totally random.

I hate instrumentals ... But kind of like this one ...
At minute 1.38 where the old man walks up to the house... That’s
from Poltergeist II :-O ... Love those movies *Grin*

Other style of music but I like this song. Nice work, Per!!
abysmo said on December 7, 2007 20:35:
The song is really old fashioned, mix between 007 themes and some 70’s psychedelia. Sounds good. And video fits its atmosphere, together it has meaning.I like it. Nice b-side (or a-side) surprise. BTW: Can anybody upload video for download? Thanks.

I do like the video; Helena looks as great as ever… loving Per with the tape over his mouth! However cannot help thinking what is the point of a song without lyrics let alone a video with it… still I like the music! It’s catchy!
madmoosegirl said on December 7, 2007 22:32:
@ RJ1976 – I think you will find it’s not actually from Poltergeist II I can tell from the background but it’s made to look like it…. There isn’t much I don’t know about the Poltergeist films!

Well, I am sure many will call me a philistine, but I don’t like it. I actually also never really liked SOAP. The song sounded quite interesting at the beginning but I didn’t like this voice in the strange singsong.
What I enjoy about Per’s music is that it always reminds me of Sweden. So I really enjoy the stuff he does with Gyllene Tider and the solo albums “Mazarin” and “En händig man”. I don’t think that Per is in need of using strange and indefinable sounds to make good and valuable music.

7-Twenty-7: thank you for uploading the video
Who said Helena was pretty as always? I didn’t see her, Per with that tape on his mouth: fanny, the rest of the video: it doesn’t impresses me much, some funny shots but lack of structure, no story behind
the song: I do really like it...
7-Twenty-7 said on December 8, 2007 00:23:
You are welcome :)
Some people should remember he composed this song exclusively to be used as the theme-song of a TV-show. It had to be a funny song, mostly instrumental, and that’s what we got. He had no intention to join the ’Hall of Fame’ or hit any charts by doing this.
abysmo said on December 8, 2007 02:34:
Regarding chart positions... “Pratar Med Min Müsli (Hur Det Än Verkar)” / “Shopping With Mother” was released Nov. 28th, but didn’t entry to Swedish Top 60 single chart. I hope it will change next week, both a-sided songs sounds good, no hits but they deserves to hit at least Top 60.

@ randall - You missed Helena... she looks great in that video, she is sat at the mirror doing her hair and then walking down the stairs holding the candles!
RJ1976 said on December 8, 2007 09:11:
@Madmoosegirl ... Are you sure ? Well just had a look and the background really doesnt fit 100% :-) ... But you must admit it’s quite similar... Love those films. Well 1 & 2 I like ... 3 is bad, but only the ending because they hat to rewrite it, because of the death of Heather O’Rourke (Carol Anne)

P3 was one of my fave but you could tell Heather was really ill in filming that, it was such a shame she died..... now I have the urge to go watch P 1 & 2 & 3!!!!

The problem with SWM is that it’s not Gessle, but SOAP. And SOAP is a little bit different story.

It’s definitely a creative video; for some reason reminds me of “Kix” vid; plus, I can totally hear this tune on a 70’s tv show etc... For me, the best part of the vid is with Per and the masking tape over his mouth as obviously used as a metaphor towards the non-existing vocals. Either way, it’s not the worst thing that’s come out of Per (or his non-existing mouth!) :o) Cheers and Peace, Will.

I so loved son of a plumber! Not anymore though. Awful track, awful clip!
Rox_Nox2003 said on December 9, 2007 04:46:
Nothing impressive for me here ,,, nor video nor song itself ... it remembers me The Dorrs but not Per Gessle as I am used to knowing him musicallywise... Maybe he is becoming to attach to this Son of The Plumer/En Handig Man 60 rock and roll sound too much. Anyway I must congrats because I feel is really bringin that sound back reproducing it perfectly in all details. But this is not the Gessle I grew up with once... not the “roxettish” Gessle I onced really liked... oh well! Anyway I hope this new project of his goes well...

Could be because I generally don’t like instrumental songs... I don’t know. It just seems strange to me.

PiR_GeSSLe said on December 11, 2007 18:50:
I totally agree with oasissupersonic. The video reminds me of “Kix” because of the short clips repeating. Is this one by Jonas Åkerlund as well?
I also agree it has a Son of a Plumber-typical retro sound “featuring” James Bond 007.
The theme is great for a TV-show. I’ve heard it for the first time 10 minutes ago only one single time and the tune is still echoing in my head! I think that’s what theme’s are all about: with a little piece of music you remember what is it about.
I wonder about a who the baby in the video is. And I loved when Helena walks holding the candles down the stairs and the picture of Per with her mom at the end.
Way to go, Per!
Ezequiel PiR_GeSSLe.
PS: And that one laughing in the end must be Christoffer! I can’t help laughing out loud whenever I see Mazarin’s making-of. He rules!
AURYTE said on December 12, 2007 05:26:
I love both the song and the video. Yes, it’s not Per Gessle, we are used to listen to. But isn’t it great to get something different once in a while? Something fresh and unusual?
Oh, that part with Per with a tape on is a killer :P Thumbs up, Per!
PS I can’t help but I just wish it was directed by Jonas Åkerlund. But Jans did a fantastic job anyway :)

hm... seriously, what’s this?
I liked SOAP, but I don’t think we can compare it SWM. It looks like spending free time with composing something. It must have taken 2 hours to do it, I guess.
I didn’t expect it from Per.:(
Sorry if you feel I’m negative.
