New Zealand for holiday

Hello,

I am going with 2 friends (also Roxette-lovers) on holiday to New Zealand in december and january for 4 weeks.
Has anybody of you been there?
What is really worth to visit?
What is disappointing (so we should skip that from our plans)?

do you have any tips for us?

Any info on New Zealand is welcome here!

I am also currently preparing a trip to NZ.

A good way of knowing what to see and do is checking out routes of tour operators.

I fancy Magic Bus for my trip to NZ.

Enjoy it and have fun!!!

I have never been there, but I know that The Lord of the Rings was filmed there so you could visit Hobbiton.

Enjoy your holiday!

ok I have so much info on NZ right now im bursting!
i will be there for 3 months travelling around next year (summer here in UK - but winter there in NZ). This will be after 6 months of OZ.

The Kiwi Experience is much more a party bus with the majority of them being 18-24 year olds living the dream! They take you absolutely everywhere - you will not miss a thing ! If you look at the website you will see you can choose which area you want to do - depends how much money you have as well. Its a hop on hop off bus - which means you dont have to do the full trip in one go...but there is no food or hostel prices included. However they will help you with hostels and food by dropping you off at your choice of hostel and pick you up from it again the next day...

The Magic Bus is for a slighter older and less partying person - maybe late 20’s to mid 30’s (my preference) - all the same as above with the KIWI experience.

Its all about the scenery in NZ. You will visit glaciers that you can hike up to hot spring beaches with volcanic rock....

If you like nature at its most beautiful then NZ will be stunning....its laid back and everybody is friendly... if you want more info then just email me and ill help out....

Hi,
I’ve been to New Zealand 3 times and my brother lived there for over a year. All I can say is you’re going to have a great time! The South Island is a real treat so make sure you allow enough time there. Auckland is alright, it kind of reminds me of Los Angeles (where I live) so I didn’t spend much time there. One thing: Make sure you go to the Milford Sound. If you have the opportunity to fly there from Queenstown, do so because it is well worth the money. If you have any questions, feel free to ask :) Have fun!

The girl I work with has a brother who lives there I love looking at her photos when she comes back from the visit about twice a year.... it looks so amazing!

I envy you so much... I so want to visit that country!! :D Have fun there!

Thanx for the info!
Any more news is welcome off course.
