AKERLUND DIRECTS NEW MOVIE

Here’s a bit of news of Jonas for ya:

Jonas Akerlund is currently directing a new movie called “Oskur Fishman”, starring Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi) and Winona Ryder (Edward Scissorhands). Filming has begun in Sweden.

According to roumors on the internet “Oskur Fishman“ is a modern fairy-tale, somewhere between “Yellow Submarine“ and “The Wizard of Oz“.

The movie is produced by Michael London for Fox Searchlight („28 Days“). The screenplay is by Tony Kunewalder and Brian Horiuchi. The production has been on hiatus since Horiuchi’s death in 1995. It will present a soundtrack by Mark Knopfler (“The Princess Bride“).
