All started from this thread.....

Add your good (or bad) tour memories here.

** Can be Rox/Per/Marie/GT...whatever**

Sheffield Arena 17th July ’92

My first Per autograph after the show and we spent all night sat outside the train station waiting for the train home at 7am the next morning! (weren’t the only ones!!)......bloody good concert too!!!

Ok....so not a tour but a one off concert.....

Sheppards Bush Empire (London) 16th Nov 1995

The finest ever Rox performance I’ve seen.......ever!!!! waited all bloody night for em to come out afterwards ;-)

I will add some more when I’m more awake/sober tomorrow

;)

Sheffield 1992, being a child I went with mum and dad, and tried to rip the HDTD promo posters off the wall in Sheffield!

Wanting to stand up and jump around wave hands like a moron, onlu to be told by my mother to sit down cause the people behind could not see wtf!! who gives a shit about them!!! anyway in the end I stood up started the upper tier off and that was it most people stood then!

Wanted to hang around to catch a look at Per and Marie after the show, only to be physically dragged away by mum and dad cause they wanted to go home! :S

Crying in the back of the car going home cause it was so brilliant!!! :D

Ahhh tour memories.... I don’t really remember much about C!B!B! except perhaps the mission imposs tune, and not being able to take my Swedish flag in cause it was on a stick!!!

Ok, atleast I wasn’t the only one who tried to rip the HDYD posters off the wall, they were stuck down too well! I got as far as Marie’s feet on one of them ;)

My best Roxette concert was on the Room Service tour at Forest Nationale, Brussels. I know I’m not alone in thinking that concert was a bit special...

Right Rich! Remember how we all messed up Spending my time? Best ever!

Yes flower! LOL It was sooo good - certainly a night to remember... Rich

anyone else thinking another rox tour would be a damn good idea..?

Roxtour 2006/07 :-) The RS showcase in cologne felt very special for me... Their return after 6 years, so tight, intimate and powerful!

@ Vix, I got part of Per’s head from the HDYD poster!

@ally: maybe if we stuck our bits together we’d have a whole poster! ;)

... 5 years after the Crash! Boom! Bang! tour I went to Party In The Park in London where Roxette played Wish I Could Fly, Anyone and (on playback) The Look. It was a fun day out, but it was all over so quickly, and afterwards I got lost after midnight wandering around London wearing my Roxette jeans! Some of the other bands were good, except of course Gary Barlow (sorry ladies). I remember that it was 2 days before my Uni graduation and I got completely sunburnt, which got me into BIG trouble with the parents who were hoping for nice photos, oops!...

rich....saw the TV show of that, no rox....showed you Per goofing in front of the camera though. odd. oam//

I want that poster hehe

FC Meeting ’97 and Antligen 2000. Fist time to see P&M live, allthough not together as Roxette.

@atltk: those posters probably don’t exsist anymore

I taped the PITP show when it was shown in australia, and in the end all i got to see was 2 secs of Per waiting in line to shake the prince’s hand!!
I was really pissed off, but what was i expecting in australia :-(

tour memories.... well i got only one. The CBB tour in January 95, Canberra, australia. First concert i went to, loved the show and i just really didn’t want it to end. I think dreamt about it for the next 2 wks :-)

Tour memories... well. It’ll have to be my first memory then.

Sölvesborg, July 7th, 1996, Återtåget.
I was 17,5 years old and my mother drove me to the concert area. It was my first concert I was going to alone, and I can say now that I did not know how early you have to be in place in order to get first in line. However, the line of people was not going to stop me from making it to the front row, so I started to look for “my friends”... which ofcurse didn’t exist. But that didn’t the people in the line know now did they? *smile* So I got basically to the front of the line, and there I just “gave up” on looking for people I knew and remained there. Ofcourse some people stared at me and looked kind of offended, but I pretended that I didn’t see them.
Anyway, when the gates opened I ran. And I got to the front row... the middle of the front row actually. I was so happy. If I would try to run the same distance today I would fall down and die halfway I’m sure.
Oh well. The concert was ofcourse great, but due to a stupid camera I didn’t get any good photos at all. But one thing I did get was an autograph from Per after the concert. Stupid me didn’t stick around to wait for the other 4 though and that I do regret today...

One month later I was back in the front row again in Växjö, this time with another camera and my mother in the crowd to. After that she’s just as big GT-fan as I am. *smile*

Nope I do still have Per’s head of the HDYD poster in the attic! :) it was on the wall for ages!

another memory that just sprung to mind...when i went to my 2nd roxette gig at glasgow SECC in July 2002, i had cut a rose from my mums garden to throw on stage at marie.....it wasnt one of these cute little roses you buy in a flower, but rather a massive one where the pettles were beginning to fall off.....still i did manage to throw it up on stage during Dressed for success, and to my delight, Marie picked it up and threw her arm up into the air with it when she said “Look Sharp”....unfortunately the poor wee rose was a little bit the worse for wear and it fell apart with all the pettles falling on the stage.

@ RobS: I finally found the tape I did of PITP and they did show Rox. I’ve only come across them performing The Look (playback) so far, but I’m sure they showed others - can remember... will have another look. I’ve copied onto DVD, if you’re interested. Of course, is only as good (or bad) as the original video recording.

The Shepherds bush gig was fantastic! :D
Myself, Klair and 2 friends waited for aaaaages after for them to come out, but it got too late and too piggin’ cold, so we left.
I think Klair shed a few tears that night, I seem to remember... or she was just in awe, at the bloody fantastic concert! It was great, and the first time I touched Pers hand. :D Hehehe. :D
And Jonus outside, took both my hands with his and lent forward and looked right into my eyes... damn that man is fine. :D:D
It was great... really fantastic. :D

All but the semi row I had with bloke behind me, over ’Pearls of Passion’, which he would not let drop, as being called ’Passion of Pearls’. :D

PITP, I was with Fliss and Klair, it was my birthday. :D That was HOT and achy and a friggin’ looooong day, I think the taxi came for us about 6 am, and we hadn’t slept the night before! Yap, yap, yap! :D

Birmingham 1994, I don’t remember much about, as I was bunged up with a cold. I do remember having some of my tour stuff stolen from my bag though, along with a roll of film!
That was a cool concert though. :)

Nice topic Vix! Hmm, ok I’ll share my first concert, CBB live in Melbourne 1995. I had some roses for Marie but I was sooooooooo short and little that she couldn’t reach them. But she was so sweet (and probably felt sorry for me) so she stepped around all the speaker things on the stage and when she got around them there was only about 5cm of space for her to stand, so she had to try to balance there while reaching down for the flowers. I gave her the roses and she had to tiptoe back around the speakers with her arms out so she wouldn’t fall. That was a cool memory!

*edited cos for some reason it posted twice!*

That’s great, Sparvogamarie(-;

When I was in Dortmund in 2001 she stand in front of me on the catwalk. Now i had my chance: I gave her a little “Teddy-Heart”. She took it to herself and kept it to her heart. The audience screamed if they saw it. She looked into my eyes and smiled to me *yaaaay*

If you listen to MATAH (Live in Dortmund 28-10-2001) you can hear the screaming fans. It’s the part in the middle of the song(-;

That was great!!!

@felicity-brown: hmm i guess the version shown here in Aus must’ve been *slightly* edited, given the fact that at that time no one really cared about Rox around here, and the it was Channel [V] that played it.

Was it all playback?? coz that would just suck

Crash: I was at that concert! But I don’t remember the heart at all....strange because it sounds like a memorable moment! Anyway great for you, those moments when she looks at you are always special!
