dunno if that topic was already here (if so, feel free to find it and point me it), coz I’ve been out here for a while, but...isn’t that band amazing?? if roxette had to be replaced in my heart...well, I guess 6pence is getting more and more ground to be that so...leigh nash has a simply incredible and sweet voice...(hmmm...not only the voice...hehehe)...is she protestant or something?? I always find 6pence related to gospel music as well leigh’s works...and I never find links to pics or nothing...6pence site is also out...well, tell me what u think about her...

I loved their version of There She Goes... and I also liked their big hit (forget the name of it now). “Kiss Me” or something? We haven’t really heard of them in the UK since 1998 or something...

Seems the roxette forum has been swapped with the OT one today...

Didn’t know ’THere she goes’ was a version...who’s the original artist?? interesting...
anyway, I keep liking them a lot...specially Leigh...hehehe
and Ferdan and Zargo...don’t get me wrong or take it personal but...this forum it is designed for roxette and related ARTISTS subjects...I guess I can read and I am in the right place...(anyway...always Ferdan...what to say about Boca Jrs fans...)

they did a really bad cover of dont dream its over by crowded house too i wanted to kill them after they covered that song

“There She Goes” was originally a #13 hit in the UK in November 1990 for a group called “The La’s”.

6 pence none the richer is not Roxette related.
By your definition I could relate every band to Roxette. Hey, Metallica’s bass player died in sweden!! I think metallica is great, even if they’re a different style to Roxette, but let´s talk about metallica because they relate to roxette somehow
see???
Anyway, back to the topic.
6 pence none the richer sounds good, they record well arranged songs, but boring songs (except two or 3). But their christian vibe isn´t pleasant.

Did he ever actually compare Roxette to Sixpence None The Richer? He said that ’if one group ever had to replace Roxette - this would be it’. And said ’I find their music is related to Gospel music’.

MiracleMan said on September 7, 2004 16:46:
Unless I’m mistaken, didn’t they disband earlier this year?
Majdy said on September 8, 2004 12:49:
that’s what I heard too, but I hope it’s wrong. I really like them.

Found this online:
The beginning of 2004 has signalled the end of several bands in the Christian music world, and another group has been added to the list of fatalities.
A letter published in this month’s issue of of CCM Magazine has confirmed that Sixpence None the Richer has decided to go their separate ways.
“After 10 years of music, we are closing up shop and moving on. We have enjoyed being a part of your lives. And thank you for being a part of our lives; without you – the listeners, the fans, enthusiasts – we would have been gone a long time ago,” said Leigh Nash and Matt Slocum in the farewell letter.
Word Records will be releasing an album featuring a collection of songs that didn’t make it on Sixpence’s last studio album, Divine Discontent, as well as songs from different compilations the band has appeared on.
“Some of the B-sides for Divine Discontent are pretty good—we hope you enjoy them,” says Matt.
So there you are, the band is over, but you get a parting gift. Enjoy it, fans.
