“Pop Hits” to be released in Australia and UK
Written by jeffersonsSoul on April 10, 2003 to Releases.
MELBOURNE/STOCKHOLM (UPDATED) - EMI Australia claims that “The Pop Hits” will be released in Australia on April 21. According to Li Eriksson at Capitol Records Sweden, “The Pop Hits” will also be released in the UK, “in June”.
EMI Australia will be releasing the “The Pop Hits” CD in two formats - the standard CD, and the CD with the Limited Edition EP. We have no further details on the UK release yet.
There’s also, as previously reported, a US release date set for “The Ballad Hits” and it’s April 22.

Did australia get TBH , if so how well did it do ?.
TPH will be released in the UK, but we have just had TBH not long ago, so i feel a while yet to go.

Australia would’ve got TBH. I’m from New Zealand, which is right next door, and we got it.
In saying that, I guess we’re getting TPH too. Yay! A late birthday present.

This can’t be right. The ballad hit are out on apr 22 in the US. Several stores have it listed here.
It must be a typo or something.
Yes, sloppy editing! ;) Fixed now. Sorrey.

So June for the UK version of TPH.... okay I can hang on till then and that way instead of owning 3 copies like TBH I shall buy one for me and one for Mum!!
Let’s just hope EMI UK stick to there guns and don’t put it back - as it won’t be the first time!

LOL. It’s sad that an album is so scarce in certain countries (like Australia here) that nobody knows if it got released! Thanks Capitol! LOL.
Looks like the same is going to happen with the U.S. release of ’The Ballad Hits’ this April 22! No promotion going whatsoever for it. But I’ve noticed that seems to be the common thing for Capitol now - that is, release it with no promotion and no single. So I guess I can’t really be that surprised considering how it was handled in Canada and Australia. Now we can add the U.S. to the list. But hey, at least we are “supposedly” getting it. I guess I’ll find out April 22 when I walk into the store and see a nice heart full of raspberries. That will be enough to put a smile on my face at least. :)

Hey it’s also quite hard to find the Pop hits album - limited edition here in Belgium, too.
I got to admit that it’s certainly easier to find it as in Australia ...

Today is the 21/4 as I sit here in Melbourne (Australia) listening to my TPH CD (purchased today) with bonus limited edition 4 track CD. Released on time, as EMI Australia ’claimed’!!!!
Furthermore I have had TBH in my collection for a good few months now.
Not much publicity though....... What is need to get more?!?
