Worst Roxette Thing You Did?

For me it was when I found out Per and Marie where playing at Blackpool, UK in August 2001 for the switch on of the Blackpool Illuminations.
I took the day off work and travelled on the train. I arrived and went to where they were due to perform and joined the others. I was surrounded by Step fans... little kids 8,9,10,11 yrs old with there parents.
I so much wanted to wait for Per and Marie to perform. By 2pm the Step fans started to sing, I could not see any other Roxette fans and I could not cope with the music from Steps for the next 6 hrs. I headed home and listened to it live on Radio 2. When I heard it live I cried, knowing full well I was only an hour away and could have got so close to Per and Marie live... biggest regret I ever did.
So Per or Marie if you are reading this... I was there but those Step fans... sorry I couldn’t stay!!
Any other fans got any Roxette regrets. :(
Marie belted out a fab performance of WICF & M&T&H. I still regret it so much.

The worst thing I suffered was when I had got Dressed For Success 1990 edition on-line at the price of U$D 10, but when I entered to that site again the article had already closed... a shame...

A couple months after becoming a Roxette fan in 1989 I found the “Pearls of Passion” cassette in a store while on vacation... I thought, “okay, that’s Per, but who’s the woman with the long hair?” and put it back! Of course, a little while later I learned that “POP” was in fact the first Rox album (with Marie, no less!) and searched for it EVERYWHERE... I had to wait two more years before finding another fan who had an extra cassette to sell me! I’m still kicking myself, it was the Canadian release!!

I regret that I didn’t buy Rarities when I first saw it.
a day later I came to this shop, it was sold out.

I regret for not buying HAND when I had the chance. I said it before that I’ve always been a fan of Roxette since forever. But when they disappeared for a while it kind of cool of. When I saw new albums from them, I didn’t buy it because I wasn’t that interested anymore.
But when I saw a DVD of all their video clips I went bought it then and there. I couldn’t wait to get home just to watch it.
When I did I’ve discovered their new songs and I went bought the RS album. But HAND is gone already. So, there.... I have all their albums (almost) except for HAND.
I think my only chance is to buy it on the Internet.
Ferdan said on February 7, 2003 05:36:
sorry for going offtopic but, you’re from Australia and HAND is a hard to find album over there???
EMI is great.....
back to topic
I also regret for not going to their first concert in 1992..... i thought i was too kid to go to a concert alone (12yrs old)
Twilight-Ghost said on February 7, 2003 06:00:
Yes. It’s hard to find here now.
But I remember before I always see it in stores everytime I check Roxette albums. (Well, atleast near where I live). But now it is totally gone.

When I met Per and I just looked at him , I could´t say anything. It felt if I was 12 years old.
I always wanted to met him and I had so much to tell him but I only said “Hej” because I forgot everything when I was so near to him and I looked at his sweet face.He was so gorgeaus .
I still regret it.
He had to think I am stupid... :)

@ Vivien, I don’t think he thought you were stupid. I think it will happen to him all the time!!
My thing I most regret, is not going to the CBB concert in Ahoy. This was supposed to be the best concert in Ahoy of Roxette ever. My best album ever is CBB, so I have many regrets about this concert. I also have regrets about not buying some singles / soundtracks at cheap prices, but hey, I got some others at extremely low prices, so therefor I’m not complaning!

I regret not going to the concert they made in December ’94 in Barcelona. But I was 12 and my parents didn’t let me go.

I regret having bought the stupid bootleg “No more crashing guitars” and the “Tribute” CD made by Studio 99... they’re both awful!!!
I also regret I didn’t buy the maxi single Stars that has one of the nicest songs, “Better Off Of Her Own”. But now with the Pop Hits limited I’ll have it without suffering those dance-mixes of the song Stars :D

I regret I didn’t bougth TBL and Stars (part 2) Maxi singles when I could... I haven’t seen them anymore.
A friend of mine also has something to be regret for. He cut the På Väg Box into 6 o 7 pieces and made some kind of picture with them. Only left 3 black pieces from the side of the box, I’m the owner of one of them, I couldn’t resist to have one. I think noone in he world has a piece of På Väg, everybody has it complete, not incomplete, wow, I have a rarity!!
He also though to do the same with Kärlekens Guld, but I’m sure that he was kidding...
Oh, I almost forgot!!! My friend do something else.... He mutilated the Äntligen Single sleeve to convert the single into a Maxi-single. This version of äntligen sufered two mutilations (mutilated once it was already mutilated!!!) and then, he gave it to me as a present for my birthday. So I have another unique piece of roxette in the world, the äntligen Maxi Single (also known as “Bigand 2000 version”)!!!
Has anyone else been witness of a roxette crime?

I was holidaying in Melbourne in 1998, and I stumbled across a copy of the Sweet As A Nut bootleg CD. Unfortunately for me, it was near the end of my time there, and I was almost broke! Waaaahhhhh! :(
