What’s wrong with you? You’ve searched mtv.com’s news archieve and it returned an old article, which was published on 01.17.2001, as it’s clearly written there. whenever you search a news archieve it obviously returns older articles as well.

So what happened exactly? It’s dated January 17, 2001 - quite a bit after the “failure” of the “Don’t Bore Us” and “Wish I Could Fly” project in the US.

So, was it a last minute decision to pull the US release of “Room Service”? The article basically states a US release date of April 3 and a comeback, etc. HMMM.

It’s too bad that the project was all set to go and then dropped. Anyone know the reason and change of plans?

On their European website, from time to time, there are votings like “Ah, Roxette is so over. Do you think they will quit?” or “Roxette has just been on tour. Do you think they will split after it?” and some others like this.
MTV UK has had it written on their website for quite a long time that Roxette have split in 1998. Yep, it was there for ages. Now that they have re-structured their website, there’s now nothing there in connection with Roxette. If you search their site for Roxette, you won’t find anything.

Yea Pietro you are really right , The look was banned just coz Marie sits in Washroom while playing guitar and many other Roxette videos were only banned on Mtv and no other music channel .Even in the centre of the heart video where there is a bad scene , Mtv banned the whole video but other channels showed the video without banning it but jjust cut that scene from the song.ANd Jonas even said that scene is 1 second hardly , now they wanted to waste Roxette’s most expensive video ?

I think Roxette were HUGE in Europe!?? Look’s like Roxette is being treated like a RETRO-BAND everywhere even in Europe now.
Roxette should defenitely try to have something going in USA. Like I mentioned in another post that Jonas Aukerland is not the only director, Roxette should try to hire some US Based talented director who can direct something kool and which cud be run over n over n over again.
They have GOT TO find a new record deal in USA and try as they might, EMI may really be the last company that would consider as an “INTERNATIONAL BAND”.
@habbyandwaf: Yo!!!!!!!! Man u r the one who has disappeared not me!! I was also a bit busy with ITCN ASIA 2002. Now am working on a couple of freelance jobs. This year I remember my birthday since my friends are trying to arrange an over-night stay at “French Beach” (the best sea water Karachi has to offer). But I guess it is not going to be at my bday since British Council guys are arranging a movie show there. Anywayz... you can call me anytime after 12:00am anyway.
