Is Pearls Of Passion the second album?

I was just wondering how many of you consider The Heartland Café as Roxette´s first album. Personally I consider this the first album because they sing in english and Marie sings backing vocals on a couple of tracks and the songs are all really roxette style.

no

No, that’s definitely NOT a Roxette album. As far as I know, only in the USA was it released under the name “Roxette”, everywhere else it was sold as a Gyllene Tider album. The copy I have also has ’Gyllene Tider’ printed on the cover.
So it’s not a Roxette album.

Heartland Cafe struggles to show the Roxette sound that we have all come to love and enjoy... Admittedly the track ’Heartland Cafe’ itself displays the promise of things to come, but the remainder of the album lacks any style and consistant format. Frankly.. it’s a musical mess. Pearls of Passion went someway to remedy this and so for me is THE truely first Per & Marie... Roxette album.

Pearls of pasion was ment to be Pers third soloalbum. But he translated the lyrics and let Marie sing them. That makes the POP to a rox-album, Heartland was a project to make Gyllene tider celibrity worldwide. A fail, but anyway...

C’ ya!

NO, NEJ, NEE, NEIN, POP WAS THE 1ST ROX ALBUM!

Yea, I agree wirth Steven. Heartland Café is neither Roxette, nor Gyllene Tider. It was made as an “oh, now we have chance to make an album in English, but we don’t really wanna do that... but still, we finally have the chance to do so... huh come on, let’s record something anyway” album.

The Heartland café was a GT-record and a try to make GT celibirty worldwide and to do that they thought, knew, that it must been in English. Roxette was the name the use in america - but POP is stil Roxette first album! They have even write it on the re-release of POP - “our first album”!

technically yes it is but heartland cafe was recorded with gt so I guess not ..

technicaly yes?......... you’re kinda confused it seems....
