I’m from Hungary, I’ll be there at the Hungaroring in August, I hope we’ll have the new world champion again as last year:-)))
pietROxette said on April 30, 2002 13:16:
I like F1, too.
And hopefully I might get the chance to watch the Hungarian race by the circuit as well... Hopefully...

Oh yeah, love my Formula 1.
NEVER EVER not been to an Australian GP, been to the Italian GP twice (once last year), Monaco, French, British, Brazilian, Malaysian and USGP in Pheonix in 1991. I’m hoping to get to the Canadian GP this year.
I sit up to 2am every second Sunday night to watch a GP on TV, I’ve only missed two since 1987 and both because of power failures!
I was lucky enough to go out with Juan Pablo Montoya the weekend before this years Australian GP, he came down to our go-kart track (I’m a well known racer in Australian karting circles) and we done a few laps with him, before heading out for a few drinks in Crown Casino here in Melbourne.
One thing though, as much as I love Ferrari, I wish Schumacher would stop winning!! How ’bout Barrichello for a change, or even better still (and in a huge freak of nature) my fellow Aussie, Mark Webber in his Minardi, now that would be something to see.
Roxwriter said on May 2, 2002 01:43:
Hey REZMAD!
You’re well known here in Australia huh? Umm who exactly are you? I’ve heard of Mark Winterbottom and other young kart stars.......unless of course REZMAD is a nickname.
Do you follow the V8’s? If so... GO SETON! #5

I also like F1. Cos I’m from Finland I’m a fan of Räikkönen (and Salo). Hope Häkkinen comes back...
pietROxette said on May 2, 2002 13:30:
Hope Häkkinen never comes back.... Brrrr, I never liked him.
But Räikkönen is cool, he’s quite talented.
Katuska said on May 2, 2002 13:57:
Well, I am a big Ferrari fan. Earlier I worked for a Finnish company, where we had to support Finnish pilots, now I am working for a French company, so I have the new idols...:-/ But I never give up my faith!:-)))
pietROxette said on May 2, 2002 17:36:
You Trulli believe in your faith, so you never push the wrong Buttun :-D

@ Roxwriter
REZMAD is only a nick, but note the bit “well known in Karting circles” as opposed to just well known.
As for Mark Winterbottom I don’t think he’s going to be doing too much karting this year, I hear he’s just signed with Stone Brothers for 5 years.
I run with CC Racing down here in Melbourne, if you know much about the karting scene here then you could probably figure out who I am down to about 4 or 5 people, I’ll be racing at Packapunyl (Eastern Lions) this weekend.
As for Seton, sorry but he drives a Ford.
Go HRT!!
dan-rox said on May 3, 2002 12:41:
last year Raikkonen was the surprise, this year is Felipe Massa from Sauber, don’t you think ?
dan-rox said on May 14, 2002 11:48:
difficult to believe what Barrichello had to do at last grand prix. someone understand it, because me not.
purplemedusa said on May 14, 2002 12:01:
Yes plz someone explain all this fuss. What happened & why? I wasn’t whatching but when it hits the frontpages of newspapers you start thinking you are missing out. Well, being a woman, I’m usually lots when it concerns sport.
pietROxette said on May 14, 2002 12:09:
Well, there has been a log debate about what have happened.
The most likely reason is that Ferrari has invested a lot of money on its F1 team, so it is essential for them to win the championship and provide the winner driver. Probably they are now afraid that Schumacher might be unavailable to win the a bunch of races, for many reasons (like, for example, he breaks his leg as he did a few years ago). This is the business part of the thing.
However, as for the race, it was a disgusting thing what they did. I mean, it should all be about sporing, shouldn’t it? The best one wins. The second one gets only silver. Actually, I don’t really think that it would have been a disaster for Ferrari if Schumacher only scored 6 points instead of 10. (And Ferrari would have got the same points in the race of cinstructors anyway).
But it was a good point for Schumi to let Rubinho stand as the winner of the race.

No! Now this lil fellow is even mentioned at a Roxette forum...Räikkönen I mean...
I just do NOT NOT NOT like him!
animalkingdom said on May 14, 2002 19:11:
Let’s just say I could really understand (even through his annoying miming) that fame and a guy in his early 20s really don’t go together without irritating others...If you know what I mean.
dan-rox said on May 15, 2002 12:33:
We know the reason, but do they have to do that is the problem, don’t you think ?
Micahel will win this year, what he did will someone thinks he will win because of what happened.
dan-rox said on May 17, 2002 12:33:
Micahel hadn’t to accept the orders from Jean Todt, he lost his honour with that.

I like F1, but.... MICHAEL SCHUMACHER is an ARSE!
Sorry, but after what happened the other week, i have lost all respect for him and especially Ferrari
GO COULTHARD!
dan-rox said on May 27, 2002 12:26:
coulthard is old ? he haven’t won any championships yet, michael is better, however what he did in Austria is very bad.
StillFar said on May 27, 2002 13:15:
What Michael or Ferrari did in Austria is nothing new. Problem is that many people don’t want to see him or his team as the winner, since he is driving in his own league, what makes the sport kind of boring!
It’s a team sport, Ferrari wants one of its drivers to be world champion, Barrichello doesn’t have the potential to be one and therefore signed a contract with Ferrari that obliges him to support Michael…nothing’s wrong with that. It’s not the only sport that works like that!
Vixzter said on May 28, 2002 05:52:
I love it when Schmacher looses....but appart from that I find F1 boring. Maybe if it was more like stock car racing....... now theres an idea! ;)

I really like Formula1! And I like Champ Car, too! (I don’t like Indy Race League that much, it isn’t a “real motorsport”...)
See you at off-topic section, guys!

Did you like today’s race? I think it was nice, but we saw few overtakes, just Räikkönen and Montoya overtook Alonso in good fashion, but fortunately Alonso got the second place and increases his lead in the World Championship :P
I think this year is much more interesting than the previous despite the fact that Alonso has a large lead already. We all know Renault is not as all-mighty as Ferrari used to be and that McLaren this year seems to be the best team. But it only seems because the fact is that Renault is leading in both stadings. But we’ll see.
I’m worried about Fisichella. He seems such an unfortunate guy. Could have increased the lead for Renault in the Contructor’s Championship if he had stayed 3th, but to this driver it always happens something... Also would have helped for making the lead of Alonso even bigger, which is what for Spaniards and Spanish media matters the most! :P

Got bored with it when ferrari were winning every race but this season its been really good. I dont mind who wins between Raikonen and Alonso just as long as schmucker looses.
I would love to go and see the Monaco gp
TinyBubbles said on July 11, 2005 14:49:
I’m a huge fan. And a big supporter of McLaren all my life basically. So i’ll always be well pleased if Kimi or JP wins but i too dont really mind who wins as long as the two Ferraris stay well clear off the podium :D

What about Ayrton Senna???!!! Wow He was amazing... Schumi is great but Ayrton was complete........
alexandre100 said on July 11, 2005 21:51:
I liked yesterday’s race. A little bit boring in some moments, I must say... The best races up until now were the Bahrain and San Marino ones, in my opinion. The worst was the French Grand Prix. I just hate that track layout!
But there’s three things that got pretty clear, in my opinion:
- Raikönnen will be the championship winner. Just imagine how he can drive when he stop suffering penalties for motor changes...
- Fisichella is over pressure. He made the same mistake that he did at French Grand Prix: he stalled the car at the pit stop again!
- It’s getting even harder to someone convince me that Schumacher is the best F1 driver of all-time (as some people here in Brazil use to say) after that poor performance...
TinyBubbles said on July 12, 2005 12:29:
You really think Kimi cud do it this year? That’d be great, but somehow i think it is Alonso’s year. Kimi has loads of bad luck just like his predesessor Mika did. (there must be something wrong with garage no 1 in the McLaren camp!!)
Kimi really shud have won it last year. I hope that wasn’t his last chance gone by.
I agree Ayrton was the best ever. Shumi is good, damn good. He is smart and quick, but he was never as quick as Hakkinen and he is no Ayrton. Ayrton was the complete package - he had it all.
I feel real sorry for Fisichella. He shud be right up there.
