The Wannadies

Hej alla!
I started to listen to (and love) this Swedish band called The Wannadies. I know they’ve been around quite a long time but only recently I decided to give it a listen. I bought their latest album “Before and after” wich includes some powerful catchy pop songs. Great production, arrengements, nice vocals... I know Roxette and The Wannadies aren’t best friends, but whatever. Both are great.
Any Wannadies fan around?
Take care!

This is why they aren’t “friends”.

that was totally hilarious. I’ve never heard of Per being nervous in an interview before.
He should have stayed out of it (aside from his ’Utter Bastard’ Grin) whilst Marie continued with the ’Whatever, F*** you’ line.
Priceless.
PS - I loved his comeback to the Wannadies.

tev: I like that “some (CD‘s) of which are even used in South American schools to teach English!”
I remember Per and Marie talked about this in Joyride era @ MTV.

I had read this before, but that:
“...they look like Dolores Cranberry’s mom and Harry Enfield’s Euro-Minister For Guitar-Based Rock respectively...”
is just so true!! :DDD lol

wrong, Marie had blond hair and that hair cut before Dolores ;)
Btw, is that serious??

Yeah, beilieve it or not, I’m a teacher and I sometimes use some Roxette songs to teach English at school. Of course I have to use some classic songs such as “Spending my time” which they love and usually tell me: “Oh, yes, I know that song but in Spanish!!!”, even boys do like the song. Once I used “Wish I could fly”.

I dunno why bands do this, it’s just promotion for the other band as well. Anyways, I dont like to get involved in band politics. If I did, I’d never be a Blur fan cos of Oasis, whom I love.
Anyways, love Per’s answers. Especially his comeback and the fact that he told NME that he knows they’re there to “mock” them. LOL!
Cheers
