Roxette back on Australian TV

Australian Television, MTV Classics, have re-aired the same “Roxette Live in Sydney” special on Australian TV Monday, 15th November at 9pm [AEDT]
The concert special is a condensed version of “Live-Ism” and it aired on sister-Foxtel channel “VH1” back in April and now MTV Classics have given the Roxette special a second prime time airing.
With a Roxette World Tour happening in 2011, was this live Sydney special merely a coincidence or a sign of things to come?

I agree :-) Let’s hope it’s a sign! In the meantime, don’t forget to help the Aussie campaign and email the following promoters asking to bring Roxette to Australia!

as to australia: i just rediscovered INXS’ album “switch” and if you like great music (i guess so ...), you’ve got to listen to it. especially “devil’s party” is a killer and “god’s top ten” is one beautiful masterpiece. trust me. see it as a tip or at least as a side note ;-)

Roxette is also sitting at number 27 on the ARIA Catalogue Album charts this week for “A Collection Of Roxette Hits”. This indicates that there is some sales activity for them in Australia at present. The album has also been popping in and out of the ITunes top 200 for the past 6 months. There certainly is some affection for Roxette here in Australia. Hopefully, there will be an appropriate festival that wants Roxette as a headliner in Australia if we can”t get a stand alone concert here.

Great news. I’ve always felt that Aussies have a soft spot for classic Rox. It seems everyone I talk to knows the old stuff. A 25yr reunion tour would probably be a good move considering all the 80s / 90s bands touring atm.

Please be sign of things to come!!!! We must petition to get them out here! I have 2 dreams in life...this is going to sound very corny, but they are to see Roxette and Bon Jovi in concert! I’m seeing BJ at the end of the year, so to see ROXETTE next year, would fulfil my life long dreams, ha ha ha!
