Roxette World Tour 2011 schedule

Marie Fredriksson with family rock Café Opera

Written by Jud on March 18, 2009 to and .

As announced earlier this month, Marie Fredriksson performed last Thursday in Café Opera, Stockholm, in an event called "Still rocking in the free world".

Together with Lasse Lindbom, Niklas Strömstedt, Mats Ronander, Annelie Rydé, husband Mikael Bolyos and son Oscar Bolyos, she remembered those great times in the '80s on Café Opera's stage. Marie covered Aretha Franklin's "I Never Loved A Man", "El Paso" and sang her own hit "Ännu doftar kärlek". The big surprise of the evening was however Marie's 12 year old son Oscar Bolyos, who performed Lenny Kravitz's "Stand By My Woman" and the Rolling Stones's "Jumpin' Jack Flash".

Videos and photos of the event can be found on Expressen, Aftonbladet and Hotgossip.

Was this the performance that Marie was due to sing Jealous Guy? Any reason why that didn’t happen? Oscar sounds great!!

I agree - go Oscar!

Wish I was there :(

I don’t know, I am trying to get hold of the full setlist :)
Thanks to Laura for all the info until now :))

Great! Thank you, Judith!
But could you change Oscar Boylos for Oscar Bolyos ;-)

She looked amazing as always... and how cool was Oscar! I feel weird saying this but he’s rather cute... ;)

Marie looked great!!!

This is great!
Have Fun!!!

Heartwarming! A beautiful event! About time it became a main topic on The Daily Roxette.

I have the actual set list ! :D and got to meet Marie for the first time (YAY!) but anyway, indeed Jealous Guy was not included for some reason (though it was written on the set list, 2 or 3 other songs from the set list were also not played). Ännu Doftar Kärlek seemed to be the biggest hit of the evening. Another fun surprise was “Lady Marmalade” - with Marie singing the backup choir! Never really ever imagined that happening. “She’s so high” was also sung, and “A whiter shade of pale”. (All of which Marie sang backup in). It was a really intimate, relaxed evening. It was great.

great to hear that :)))
