Intro / Opener for Gessle-Tour

For me the best opener would be “Always breaking my heart”.
Right after an intro either like on the CBB-Tour or an instrumental from SOAP (maybe “Kurt - the fastest plumber...”)

I’d say Kix, let the intro play over and over again and than Per can enter a bit later when the verse starts. Chris can be the one moaning!

drowning in wonderful thoughts....that would be a good opener! :o)

Mission impossible theme! (or even better: Theme from Roberta Right ;)

I still say Shopping With Mother as the opening!

I agree with ’PerAndren’ that Kix would be a perfect showopener, but Thai With a Twist or Silly Really would be great to start off the party as well.

Drowning in wonderful thoughts from Son of a plumber most be one the best opening song ever! So my vote goes to that magical song!

Yeah, Sleeping In My Car was a good choice!!
But Party Pleaser is to slow..

haven’t decided on the song, but i think it should open with an uptempo roxette song that everyone knows to get the crowd going......possibly “The Look”

Yes, good idea, I also thought about it.
Per, you have to start with a real burner, to win the people from the first moment. You have to start with Roxette: So with “The Look” or with “Joyride” or maybe “How do you do”. Something EVERYBODY knows.
An instrumental in the beginning would be nice, too. Just the band without Per. And after it the intro of The Look and then comes Per on stage!

I agree that maybe the opener should be a song that everybody knows (like a Roxette song), but I think it’s better to be Per-song: something rocky - The Party Pleaser, Do you wanna be my baby?... but I wouldn’t mind She doesn’t live here anymore:))
pwbbounce (moderator) said on February 5, 2009 09:16:
Do You Wanna Be My Baby? should be the first one. The start of the song is ideal!! ’1-2-3’ and the drums start (extra long drum intro btw) and then Per comes on stage and starts singing. This would be cool!

Do You Wanna Be My Baby.
It’s catchy, was his first international solo single (IIRC), so it’s one of the best known Per-songs.
I agree it should be a better known tune, but I don’t think he should begin with a Rox song.
He goes on solo tour, and it would be a wrong signal to come on stage and say “hey, it’s us!” while it’s “only” Per.
He should come on stage and say “Hey, it’s me!” instead.
It’s a Per tour, not a Rox tour.

But the same thing happened on the last Swedish solo tour, when he played “När vi två blir en”/”Juni juli august”. And that’s why I assume he will do the same this time. It’s quite clever idea to do so ;)

I think it will comes from the Party Crasher album... maybe some of these?: The Party Pleaser, Silly Really or Thai With A Twist. Anyway in the beginning it should be some fast tempo songs to liven up an audience, but who knows...;)
