hey, is just a idea..this web page must change this new year..have more color.. more life..this is the look sharp celebration year...maybe a design with that idea..i don’t know...what do you think ?

Well when we got the new design nearly everybody said it wasn’t nice but even if our disappointment was clear nobody (who could) did anything about it so why should they care now that people have calmed down? In the past I thought that I would get used to the new design but no, it’s just terrible, plain and cheap. On the other hand the contens are great and news are interesting.

Those sites you mentioned are the official websites of those artists. They have backing (I imagine) from the record company. This isn’t the official Roxette website. The staff here do not get paid, we do it because we enjoy it :-)

The main reason i get here is for the news. We could talk about design, but for me it´s ok.
A whole redesign of the site means a lot of time of developing and testing and we could not ask the guys for more! Today TDR loads really fast and that´s what i really care. Maybe we could ask a mobile version in the future... who knows

This site will never have more sections than news and forum. No discography, media, photos.. too time consuming, time we don’t have. And no money. The site is just fine as it is, design could be different, more colourful, but still, as they say, image is not the most important, but content ;)
But time will tell about the design, I myself wish another font.
The official sites: of course, they are cheap. Best would be some heavy-to-load flashy homepage with some cool graphics and effects, but 0 content. I was also amazed by those sites in the beginning, but I got fed up with them, they got annoying with the time, too slow, no information. Sure the sites could be different, but I think they are just fine. Practical, simple but still classy. Swedish ;)

i think the guys who run TDR do a great job (please can I now win a competition!!!) lol. No seriously, when the design changed I was a bit like: ’why???’. But you know what, the reason I pop by now and again is to check on the news and occasionally look what’s in the forums. I think if people want official pictures, downloads etc - then there is gessle.com and roxette.se etc.
I like this place - as a place just to come, pop by, say hi, get the goss and pootle off again. Simple, easy to use and well run. End of.
(surely I must now win something ;o) lol )

I don’t know about the other people, but i can say that i visit this site 10times more a week then the other roxette/gessle/marie sites...
The main reason i visit is cuz of the contents not flashy looks or pictures or anything like that. flash player or not, dailyroxette still is better then all the other sites, both official and non-official.
The staff are doing a great job and i’m grateful for the time they spend on the site.
But yes, why not? i’d welcome new colours, change is good...

I haven’t been on here in a while, was hoping that they would have changed the design by now. I remember the reaction when it was re-designed, I hated it so I made this design using the roxbox site style:

I know its pink but at lest its more colorful!
Oh well, would just be happy if they changed the main text font and put the x back instead of the star in The Daily Ro*ette - it doesn’t make sense!!

I also liked the idea of ants based on the RoxBox. It should have been implemented in 2006, though...

I hate flash-sites, it’s much better to keep with the World Wide Web Consortium, so that everyone can visit a site.
If it was a video-streaming-plattform - okay.
But here I want to read news an discussions, no effecst and animations. It just text, only chars, so there is no need to blow this site up and make it slow. And there is no need to force visitors to download plugins before visiting TDR.
If I want to see sites that need minutes to appear in my browser and that annoy me I visit myspace :-)
If you want to change the look or fonts, okay. But (If you would ask me) I would say: please do not change the fundament of this great website!

antz, I hate the pink, but otherwise your design is cool! I don’t mind the site how it is actually.....yes the look is not particularly exciting and it looks a bit old-fashioned, but it is still functional, fast and reliable, which are more important in my opinion!

But you, those who long for a new design...did you ever think about how much work it is to do redesign this page? These people do have jobs, they are working all day long, they are married, they have friends and yes...a life besides TDR. ;-) Ok, I really miss some colors, too and I loved the former design. But it’s not in our hands.....
And as far as I remember it took quite a long time to change the design the last time. Several months or even more than a year? Can’t remember at the moment...
