RoxBox Book Versions
DownloadJunkie said on November 2, 2007 03:23:
Maybe I am mistaken, but is there more than one version/printing of the book included with the RoxBox? I would have sworn that when I looked at someone’s book before I received my own, there’s was a little different. Then again, it could have just been me....
Thanks

My roxbox has a sticker “Made in Australia” but I don’t think it was made there.
As far as I know, there was only one release from the look for Roxette.
DownloadJunkie said on November 2, 2007 20:19:
I’m referring to the actual book with the RoxBox. Like I said, I could be wrong, but I remember photos from the first one I ever saw that aren’t in the one I have.
RobS said on November 4, 2007 10:58:
arnie, how did you get a RoxBox with a “made in australia” sticker??
As far as i know all the RoxBox’s were made/printed in EU. It wouldn’t make sense for many other countries to make their own stock given the limited amount that would have been released.

I got also the ’Made in Australia’ Sticker and I ordered at amazon to an US address
DownloadJunkie said on November 4, 2007 14:44:
My friend’s was also the same. I ordered mine from Amazon.com to a U.S. address, but mine did not have the sticker.
To anyone who has one with the Australia sticker, do you have a photo in it with lyrics from Breathe “I wore the crown, I wrote the song, now it’s fading...”
I could have sworn I saw that photo in that book. Mine doesn’t have it.
arnie said on November 5, 2007 11:59:
I got it from ebay, an american seller, I’m not sure if I still got the sticker because it was on the nylon, not on the roxbox
CoyRoy said on November 8, 2007 12:29:
Look on the backsides of your boxes where the tracklistings are: There should be a label of where it was printed or made. Anyone can put a sticker on anything... for that matter - that doesn’t mean anything. It could be a bad hoax or something.
My RoxBox does have the line of lyrics from Breathe, btw - printed in EU.
DownloadJunkie said on November 8, 2007 20:47:
Funny, mine doesn’t. How many pages in yours? Mine has 71. Mine also printed in EU.
arnie said on November 9, 2007 11:51:
Confirmed: the ones with the sticker “Made in Australia” has the page with the lyrics of Breathe “I wore the crown ...”. The other boxes haven’t that line. We compared 2 boxes yesterday.
CoyRoy said on November 9, 2007 17:53:
I have a scan here at work of that page... mail me at [email protected]

Thank you! I was beginning to think I was crazy!!!!
Now I wish I had both editions.....
RobS said on November 10, 2007 08:32:
any chance of a link?
Just checked my RoxBox, 71 pages, nothing with Breathe that i noticed.

Just because the difference is a fu****g line of text??? OMG. You can handly call’em “editions”, it’s more a (little) missprint of the same edition, I suppose.
DownloadJunkie said on November 10, 2007 10:52:
Yeah, just because. Not all of my purchases in life are hardcore necessities! Are yours?
Gachy said on November 10, 2007 12:04:
That line might be a 0,000000000000000001% of the whole box, and nobody noticed that “difference” until now. I don’t see the point in having 2 sets just for that reason. It’s close to madness.
DownloadJunkie said on November 10, 2007 13:50:
And that is the difference between something that is worth a considerable sum of cash versus the meager cost of the paper it’s printed on. Should one be a true misprint, it’s value will reflect that error and will someday be a viable resource of funds.
And *I* am the one who posted this error here. I should have kept that information to myself.
Gachy said on November 10, 2007 17:30:
I don’t want to disappoint you, but I don’t think it’s going to worth more money just because of that line printed in a certain page. “I wore the crown, I wrote the song, now it’s fading...” doesn’t really make the difference. How much do you want for it? 500 bucks? Ha ha.
And which one is the misprinted? The one with the line or the one without it? Seems no one version is rarer or more scarce than the other. Then, every Roxbox out there is rare on its own and should value 500 US from now on!

Well, I hope your “missprints” will be worth something and if you want to buy 2 Boxes - that’s YOUR choice. When I see another Box I will buy it too. I will buy 10 if I have the money!! No need to fight, people!!
Can you tell me - I recently bought a European version of the Joyride album, but ALL the pictures in the booklet is printed backwards - does that mean something? It’s obviously a missprint - is that worth something? Or was it a common print-fault??
tomos85 said on November 10, 2007 20:55:
Backwards? You amaze me all the time :D Haven’t seen any differences...
CoyRoy said on November 10, 2007 21:13:
Yes, my South African print is right, but the EU print (Dutch print) I bought is strange. All the pics are in the wrong order AND they are printed backwards (the other way around, if you understand - it’s difficult to explain). Only the lyrics are printed right and in the right order....

And you all wonder why Roxette doesn’t make it “big” repeatedly. This is why. This is the most disjointed, dysfunctional group of people I have ever read online. I ask a simple question and it becomes a battlefield.
What business it is if I want to buy ten of any Roxette item? What business is it if I sell any item?
With a fan base like this, who needs competition?
I have a friend who worked for the original Roxette fan club. I can see why she has turned her back on this community.
You guys can have at it. Flame, troll, and bicker all you wish.
I’m a better person than that.

Thanks CoyRoy.
I thought we were talking about a full page picture with the line of lyrics as DownloadJunkie described “do you have a photo in it with lyrics from Breathe “I wore the crown, I wrote the song, now it’s fading...”?
Not just a line on the bottom of the page.
Mine does have the line on the bottom of page 56, about TPH & TBH.
Fernando_O said on September 23, 2008 22:30:
Wait a second.. You are not talking about the very bottom lines of the TPH & TBH review, don’t u? As it’s part of the whole text (It’s actually telling the story behind “breathe”song...), I can’t understand why it should be left out in some editions....
By the way, my RoxBox it’s from Canada (although it’s made in EU)

As you have stated above, if the sentence is part of the whole text, I hardly believe there are some boxes out there that missed it. It doesn’t make sense to me. My explanation is some people should go to the ophtalmologist more often. There’s no sin in wearing glasses, guys!
FireDiamond said on September 25, 2008 10:10:
Well 7-Twenty-7, arnie here tells they’ve compared two DIFFERENT Boxes:
”...the ones with the sticker “Made in Australia” has the page with the lyrics of Breathe. The other boxes haven’t that line...”
but I didn’t understand if they were missing the line itself or the whole page? It doesn’t make sense part of the text to be missing, although that’s the very last line of the biography part just before the section with the CD’s credits. So maybe some technical error did occure when compiling the whole Box which makes it, I guess, all the same edition after all...
Although being old news I’m still curious about it, perhaps someone can show us some scans of it?
btw you’ve just broken my heart. I thought my mirror-pictures-Joyride was unique since it wasn’t mentioned in The Look For Roxette rarities... now I see there’s a whole lot of such albums... anyway...
ShadowMoon84 said on November 2, 2007 04:29:
Well, actually, Roxbox is kinda a book itself coz it has a brief biography and many gorgeous photos of Roxette or do you mean “The look for Roxette” which is a detailed biography of Per and Marie and Roxette?
