I think Gimme More is a great song actually. I think if Britney pulls herself together she can get back on track with this singles succes. but of course she’s too fucked up to notice. Such a shame.

its not a song,she’s just newing on dance rythmes. i think there are no more fool singers as britney with her lost mind,shes mad,and i m surprise how and why she’s still singing. it would be more suitable from her if she continued her career in cheepest strip club as a dancer,she’d be more happy there:)

I like the song Gimme more. Haven’t heard the album. It such a shame that Britneys life is so fucked up. She had everything...EVERYTHING! Maybe that is her problem...crazy.

the only good song on her new album is cold as fire hot as ice, it’s very 80’s and catchy, most of the album she’s burried under the production and from what’s been rumoured alot of it was recorded immediately after her last album or was in fact left over tracks from those recording sessions

I feel really sorry for her at the moment with what she is going through and really wish she would get proper help instead of flirting in and out of care or days at a time. Jeez the poor girl needs proper medical help and rehab and I wish someone somewhere would reach out and help her, but it would seem most people just want to rob off her and make money out of her misfortune.
I think her parents are rather disappointing for not stepping in sooner, in most countries she could have been sectioned for 28 days under the law to get proper help instead she goes in and is out a week later looking as bad as ever…
Taking the kids off her was the right thing to do since she was not a fit mother but I do wish she would realised what she needs to do to get better, a simple medication and the poor girl could have it all under control or at least work towards it, but then some people with that kind of illness like the feelings they get and don’t always want to get better…

To be honest, I’d rather spend £100 to go and see Ruth, Alexandra and Diana (contestants on the Uk XFactor) than spend £5 to go and see Britney !

She’s the new Madonna: just an average to mediocre entertainer (they are not even good singers), backed up by a big big label to sell loads of records and merchadising. She’s supported by a massive promotion, but musically she doesn’t add anything new to the world. Just a commercial product, with no real talent.

i do like Womanizer though, She is a brand not a singer, but she has some bloody good producers and song writers. I read she has 37 different song writers for this new album ! !

and Womanizer sucks..... her old stuff like Stronger, Sometimes, and Oops I did it again, had more pleasant melodies than this new stuff

That seems to be a trend these days: loads of people involved, they write the songs, pick the best ones, do the arrangements... then the “artist” gets a phone call and goes into the studio to record the vocals and pose for the photos. That’s all, they don’t know anything about music. Of course it’s fabricated, there’s no art there, it’s just a commercial product.
37 songwritters... I can’t believe Roxette managed to record so many songs, with only Per composing them. Well, there were contributors too (Marie, MP Persson and Desmond Child) but they were not that many.

as far as the trend, well not all albums today have a lot of writers, many pop and dance bands still use only one or two songwriting teams
