New Greatest Hits in June?

There will be another Greatest Hits in June, or maybe even two... A new single in May before that, and then a tour in Sweden. This piece of news is taken from the Swedish tabloid newspaper Metro and not (yet at least) available on the Net.

hmm well, it actually happened....... we can count Baladas en español as a Greatest hits record.... but translated.. so if they release a new G.H.album this year : since 1995 they would have released 1,2,3,4! greatest hits albums..... and only 2 original recordings albums...... well.... conclusions are up to you.

Hmm, if they release another greatest hits album yet again, they need strong promotion to get attention. A cookin’ jumpin’ single and several new tracks to make it worth buying for longtime fans.
I don’t count Baladas En Espanol and Don’t Bore Us, USA because these 2 were not promoted on international market.

I’m glad but afraid too. Because Bryan Adams release more Greatest hits album than new material in period 1990-1999.
Madonna use same strategy when she start to sell less on 92-96. It’s what Emi and other usually do when you have a band who was very successfully but now is on “down dates”, and Room Service is the most “down moment” on Roxette sales History.
on other hand that means that Roxette is not thinking in split up!

Sure it was an important album on the spanish speaking market (which is quite big) but nowhere else. In Germany for example BEE and DBU-GTTC 2000 were not promoted at all. There were no single releases, only some fans knew that these albums exist, the same with POP ’97. This albums are “plus” albums for the fans.

It would be kinda stupid to have 20 of the same songs on three different albums.
No way I’m gonna buy another GH.
What the hell is Per doing?? Putting a greatest hits out and put some new songs on it...that are not even new like STUPID.
Make some new songs...or quit making music! And let people remember Rox from their bubblegum songs...and not as the band that releases GH after GH after GH....

I think EMI didn’t liked it that Metro published the info so early, I think it was just a plan of EMI and not already fixed.
And nobody wants to give infos to the people, which are not fixed, beacuse it’s not good, when they won’t be realized...
You see, they won’t manage it to publish a single in May or an album June... (but perhaps they really had this “time-plan” in january).
It’s better not to tell any dates so early

Don’t worry, folks..Per’s gut is never wrong...specially after he got slim...does he drink those diet shakes??? So, we’re gonna have short and simple songs...hehehe...
I feel that Roxette will return to rocky songs...it’s something like a superstition...last year, bubblegum Rox songs were played all the time before RS release...and we had an electronic/bubblegum album...but now, you can hear TLook, SIMC and other rocky ones around...even the Unplugged ones are being also played...Rock band are doing too, like Nickelback, Creed, Linkin’ Park, Live, Eddie Vedder’s solo, let’s wait...
