I do not like this attitude at all. This petition is very friendly, even loving. What could be more beautiful than expressing our love to their musical talent? This so-called “demand” is expressed from the bottom of our hearts.
If you do not sign it, don’t call yourself a fan. Maybe if Per and Marie will see the huge amount of signatures, they will reconsider eveything.
Hits sold about 70 thousand worlwide. I guess the majority of buyers were rox fans. I don’t see why most of them can’t sign it.

venomthefat, your intentions are pure and sincere. I really appreciate that and so do the others I think.
But you need to see the light, that Marie and Per has other commitments and plans with Roxette being one of them. We haven’t really seen a whole new roxette album so far except hits after hits. Indicating that maybe the two are not having enough time to devote attention to Roxette. They got their own social lives and focus too you know. Plus with the recent Marie’s sickness bout, it’s fair enough that the best we can wish back then was that she is alright. The strength to continue with Roxette can be overhwelming at this time. Plus Roxette is 20 years old already. Most bands don’t live on this long. So be thankful.
Not that Marie and Per has been silent either. There were a lot of solo materials coming out, some free to download. You just had to be aware that there’s a lot of unheard Roxette stuff finally being released.
But be patient, time will show and tell. So cheers!!!

Not all of us really know what’s going on behind the scenes. I think that this initiative should be a good wake up call to remind our beloved artists that many await them.

You may think that this won’t help ,but why on earth must be so negative about it??
And when an artist decides what to do next year he will be pleased to know that at least few people still like his works and want new album.
It’s dailyroxette.com not dailysoloflops.com and don’t be SO surprise if someone here wants new Roxette album.

Per and Marie KNOW FULL WELL that a new Roxette album is desired ! But, as I have read several times now, a half-arsed idea is not on their agenda - they have just said in the RoxBox how uninspired the Room Service era sounds - so they don’t want a repeat of it - they will do a new album if / when they are both fully geared for it. Right now, however, they are inspired for solo material - they are artists afterall and must do whatever is in their creative hearts - not mine and not yours !
And I posted this on Sonofaplumber.com but a petition sounds like a demand !

After all, why do we need a petition one year before next year, when is the earliest time that there might be anything from Roxette as this year, it’s highly unlikely.
By the way, have we ever gotten a new album or anything from Roxette due to a petition? I’m curious.

This theme seems to be old like a chewing gum found stuck to the sole of shoe. Need “roxette” the petition or not, it never makes the day. Just think: Bon Jovi makes albums every year, almost. And what? each next becomes worse than previous. Would you want the same situation to happen to “roxette”?
It is never good to create under any kind of pressure. It’s not even a creating process. Some artists even search for solitude in the islands to be through the revelation.
And you try to push it with force.

The only thing that is tiring about Room Service is the fact that it wasn’t promoted very well with such great tracks like TCOTH, Real Sugar.. every non-rox fan in the UK I played these to loved them....
...Roxette don’t want success. Simple, as they will have a say in their record deal. And they won’t feel inspired because there is little fan impact these days compared to the Joyride-era. But again, this is due to crap promotion, and here begins the cycle all over again.
Just wonder how cool SOAP would have been with Marie singing instead of Helena... that would have been a change of direction for what we know as “roxette”.

As above, signing rejected; and petition mocked. Petition means FORMAL REQUEST. Requesting an album is highly ridiculous.
If/when Per Gessle will read this, he’ll be half amused and half annoyed. But I actually doubt he can be bothered with visiting sites lately. Dunno what happened in the US, but he certainly didn’t feel there “at home”.
