Well, it’s not that strange that he’s interested in charts positions, since Roxette is a fully comercialy oriented product. He might be not that interested in charts when working with other projects (SOAP) which are not that comercial. And he might have lost interest in charts and comerciality as years have gone by... We all get old and grown-up, I guess :)

I remember him saying in an interview that he’s very interested in Roxette’s chart positions...He called different places in order to find out how high the latest single had gotten etc. But I think I read this in 1994 or so...

LOL So this finally explains me, a inocent outside of the pop culture formatation the huge importance some of you guys give to chart positions. Per himself was like that in his teens he was a pop culture addicted listening to radio all the time LOL
Amazing that 20 years after ... he grew up not giving the same importance he gave in his teens and doing things regardless sales or charts and not following trends nor music fashions to appeal everyone. He might be a bit selfish in doing his own thing, going against pop music culture but at least he’s about honest to himself. I hope we will all perceive the same thing one day...
