Does anyone know anything about knees/sport related injuries???

My only area on that is the Cruciate Ligament and I am afraid my knowledge only extends to the canine variety!

but here is link on hoomans! (in dog talk)

http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/diseases/facts/kneeinjuriescruciate.htm

Yes I do. Or I know where to find it.

have been looking at the link and have emailed them thanks. I have my symptoms on the internet several times and have a rough idea of what is wrong i think.

Its not torn ligaments or anything but i think overpronation, or stretched illotial (sp!) band due to exercise regime- 2.5hours football, 3 hours hockey per week & cycling altho i dont really think that excessive!

Been to the doctors twice- getting refered to hospital but wanted some advice about the length of time to rest. or any advice really am just fed up.

ow ally i use that website all the time, although i banned myself from it now lol.

I suggest that you see a doctor and get a proper diagnosis. And then as part of physical therapy (if you need it, if you don’t still do this): Go to a massage therapist.

Since I don’t know specifically what the “aches and pains” are, I can’t tell you for certain that going to a massage therapist will help in alleviating your aches and pains.

Been to the doctors twice, he has refered me to the hospital but sick of waiting so Im going to see a professinal football (if u can count sunderland afc as professional lol) physio, paying thru the nose but he has been recommended to me and i wanna be fixed!

allow a few weeks to recover

Claire, Sunderland FC home to the Black Cats... or nicknamed the Black Cats... lol....

I just used there online shop the other day to buy something for a friend of my mum’s!

Yea the Black Cats lol. I give em stick but love em to bits really.

Been for 5 sessions now feeling bit better with massage etc. Got insoles for shoes too. Not too bad for hockey now but football it still is sore. All on the mend tho, its been a month since i saw the doctor last- letter came on Sat saying it will be 17 weeks until i can see the physio on the NHS?!?! screw that, im glad i gone private.

I know sometimes the NHS can suck!
