Software that can autotag (id3) Roxette mp3 files?

Been ripping Roxette songs from my old Roxette CDs. Back in the days, ID3 tags for MP3 files didn’t even exist, so I have been trying some software to automatically get the ID3 tags for Roxette songs, so far, I haven’t found any good software yet, when I use TagScanner, it finds a bunch of albums by other artists for my Roxette mp3s, but didn’t bring back any Roxette albums. Does anyone know an ID3 tag software that knows what Roxette is?

I’ve nothing against the big, useful and necessary work that moderators do in this forum (I’m not being ironic).
But I don’t understand why in a archived topic can’t we “share” rare old material (almost impossible to find by some of us) and a moderator tell us how to copy in mp3 format. :¿? Really can’t understand and I think I am not going to understand it soon. :(

OK, I’ll explain to you:
1. TDR does NOT allow sharing in ANY WAY.
2. This person is asking how to make legal mp3s with IDs from CDs, and I told the person how I do it.
Do you see the difference?

CDex is also able to use CDDB to fill in the tags automatically.

iTunes as well. And there’s nothing illegal with ripping your CDs into MP3 for personal use!

@Bunny,
if you want to make new MP3’s then I suggest the same (eg. a cd-ripper that connects to FreeCDDB).
For the untagged MP3’s you already have you can download any free MP3 Tagger and do the following:
1. Point the program to the folder where you have all your rox MP3’s making sure the program is set to read subfolders.
2. Select all files, write Roxette in the artist field and mass tag everything in one go...
3. For the titles select ’copy title from file names’. This will mass tag all your mp3’s with the correct titles (taken from their respective file names) without .mp3 extension.
4. For the genre you can mass-tag...
5. For the year you have to select all files in a particular folder (eg. Look Sharp) and mass tag only one album at a time.
You can also add album cover art in the tags (ID3V2) and your cd’s will look great in iTunes!

To tevensso: Ok, I’ve understood it soon. The sooner, the better :) No problem

Use Audiograbber and have it hooked up to CDDB. Works like a charm.
