“One Wish” available on iTunes

Written by roxtexanet on September 24, 2006 to .

Roxette fans in the United Kingdom and most European countries served by iTunes can now legally download “One Wish” from Apple’s online iTunes music store.
The song is currently the third most downloaded track on iTunes Sweden. Earlier this year the Rox Medley spent more than a week on top of this chart.

Forgot to add that it’s available in the Japanese store too - release date was the same as the radio date, Sept. 20th.

In Austria it has been available on iTunes since the airplay date BTW ...

You guys are lucky - Here in Sh*tty South Africa we don’t have ANY release dates, nor are we sure what we will get of this new stuff and One Wish has NOT received ANY airplay whatsoever.

I guess this new Roxette stuff is not going to sell great here. No promo has been done whatsoever!

Good luck Per, Marie - EMI SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HI!

here in Argentina NOTHING about ONE WISH on the radios, i hope this will change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone who received this in the last few weeks will go and download it!

I’m proud to say I have paid for mine :)

I’m curious if artists have to pay to be placed on iTunes. By that I mean, I don’t see why an artist, say Roxette, would not make a song universally available for everyone.

This may be a case of wanting to wait to control a release for proper promotion, but let’s say that the new Roxette album was NOT going to be released here. Why not let US fans download the singles anyway?

Just curious – does this make any sense to anyone?

DanK - I have brought that same very issue up with ITUNES America, and this is what they had to tell me, “Currently, we are not set up to accept monies from outside the country for songs on ITunes, therefore, it would be the same case trying to get music from other countries”, meaning that they can’t process foriegn money or vice versa, which I personally think is stupid. You can buy cds through www.gemm.com, where there is tons of dealers, yet ITunes is just being lazy. We all know that record companies do this purposely to obtain more money via the import processing. Its simply not user friendly and someday, they just might figure it out.

I downloaded “one wish” on friday from musicload.de.

Strange - how can a song which hasn’t been official released in the UK be available on iTunes in the UK. The same of the SOAP releases. I’m probably being really thick, but if someone could enlighten me, that’d be great!! Thankyou! :-)
