Roxette covers The Paris Sisters’ hit “I Love How You Love Me”

Written by tevensso on September 13, 2006 to .

STOCKHOLM - One of the tracks included in the “The Rox Box,” the demo “Anyone/I Love How You Love Me,” is actually half a cover of The Paris Sisters’ hit “I Love How You Love Me.” The song, written by Barry Mann and Larry Kolber, was produced by Phil Spector and was a big hit in 1961, when it reached #5 on the Billboard charts on October 30.

The song has since then been covered by many artists such as Bryan Ferry, Ray Conniff and Chet Atkins.

I KNEW it sounded familiar!

so the 60’s DID inspire anyone i really wish anyone had a video set in a 60’s diner with marie pining over some rebel boy :)

the 2nd cover on the RoxBox (Help, and this one)

i dont think i love how...constitutes an actual cover it isn’t the full song is it?

weird-it’s not a cover and it’s not a demo

so much of my happiness about a lovely Gessle penned text. ;) Btw, I haven’t listened to the song yet, but from what I’ve heard it is just to die for...:o)

wow a cover ey,. and i thought it was gessle, that part is the best part aswell lol.

posted twice

I am assuming that the “Anyone” part of the song is the demo to the track that we all know as a single from Have a Nice Day. It’s interesting because the version of “I Love How You Love Me” has that old sound to it just like “Anyone.”

This should be an interesting listen.

that’s why i thout it was a bit bealtle..”kisme , squiss me,,,etc”“...well...i tought i was per own words....:( ...but i like it anyway...

I knew it was a cover the first time i heard it - there was an Australian band in the early 90s called the Teen Queens who did the song and I knew it was a cover of an old song back then

It is the Demo, Havent you heard it before?

I’ve heard the demo, but I am wondering if it is any different than the demo version of “Anyone” that we’ve heard before.

I’m also interested how the two songs will mesh in this version...

Shannyn, i always thought she looked familiar. Now i know.

Now i’m even more curious about this demo.

Do Roxette really have to do a cover to include it on their RoxBox?

I always thought they have enough inspiration and talent to write their own songs...

This is so interesting... I’m curious about this demo too...

Doing covers has nothing to do with lack of talent or inspiration. most of the time

I knew the title sounded familiar... I thought there was an artist that died in a plane crash some time ago had a song with this title too?!

Yes, Melanie Thornton, the former female part of the duo La Bouche was quite successful with I Love
How You Love Me.
She had such a wonderful voice.

Melanie Thornton’s song had a similar title (Love how you love me), but different lyrics, so it’s not a cover of ILHYLM.

Didn´t know it was a different song. I can´t say if I know the Paris Sisters´ song or one of the covers.

Hey!!

The one who unveil the truth about the song being a cover was my mum so at least you could add to the article:

wonderful balloon: Making covers has got nothing to do with talent, or the lack of it.
And you DO realise that Marie’s latest album was just covers?

Haha

:)

Thank You
