Yes, it was certainly difficult to find, but here it is,
http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/new_releases/soon.shtml#September%2025th
***daidjjanderson1981*** How did you come across this information???
kashee said on September 3, 2006 08:05:
If it’s true, this would be Roxette’s first UK single release in nearly 7 years. The last song to be released on single format in the UK was ’Stars’ way back in October 1999.

This is fantastic! Let the whole world get the new song!
The next stop is the US :))))
chrisr86 said on September 3, 2006 08:22:
Well that’s funny, because I just emailed Marie Dimberg yesterday saying the UK fans really need to know the release dates of the GH, RoxBox and ’One Wish’ soon, as pretty much everywhere else has a release schedule sorted.
Could just be a coincidence, but still...!
ncurran said on September 3, 2006 08:49:
Its very unlikely to be true. It is not clear where the BBC got this release date info. I would only believe it if it is in an industry publication like Music week, or listed as a forthcoming release in one of the record shops.
In any case the single probably will be available as a digital download on itunes, etc. That is nothing special though, as even and Marie/Per solo stuff is released on there

That is cool, because in Spain we only get UK single releases, isn’t it? :D
They could have placed reveal as a B-side. Aren’t single releases supposed to have 2 B-sides and an A-side? Why does Roxette always get away with only one B-side?
rox-kuryliw said on September 3, 2006 09:24:
well if they dont change that cover lol cant see it doing to well LOL (all based on that one cover for it ;-) )
Santi do u only get singles that have been released in UK ? or u kidding ?
chrisr86 said on September 3, 2006 09:32:
@ Santi: It seems like ’Reveal’ may be planned to be the second single off the GH judging from comments made about it, so it wouldn’t make sense to put it as a B-side :-)
Wicf said on September 3, 2006 09:34:
I always thought their last single release in UK was MATAH, which charted at #78
ncurran said on September 3, 2006 09:37:
wicf, the last physical single release was MATAH, you are right.
Santi, if it is released here (which i doubt) there will prob be a maxi single and possibly a 2 track single. Most artists release both nowadays, but very few release ONLY a 2 track single here.
Santi said on September 3, 2006 09:38:
At least in the city where I live (Valencia), we get UK single releases. Not only Roxette, but other bands’ as well :s
That may be different in Barcelona and Madrid, but it seems to be the case for Valencia :s I also think it’s weird... but I don’t think Spain is a big market for single releases... And certainly Valencia is not a big market for pop music as a whole... they never have a bloody concert in this town, and we’re over a million people living here :s
Oh, Reveal another single... that’s nice. Let’s hope that has Myth’s demo as B-side! :D
Junkie said on September 3, 2006 09:41:
so this would be not just only NL release, but also a UK one, right?
Denstandigaresan said on September 3, 2006 10:27:
Yes, the last single was MATAH in 2001. I know for sure because myself and a couple fellow Roxers went to London for the promotion stuff.
Which was shocking to say the least.
I’m afraid i’m not at all excited about this. :(
And I doubt i’ll buy the single. Unless I can find it cheap enough!
When you can get an album for £6.99, paying £3.99 or so for a single doesn’t appeal to me. ;)
abysmo said on September 3, 2006 10:59:
Hope that Reveal will be 2nd single. Out somewhere in January.
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 11:02:
Well I’ll buy it if I can find it, lets hope EMI can confirm it is true or not soon!
suusje said on September 3, 2006 11:04:
this is great! i hope one wish will often be heard! Also in holland
RJ1976 said on September 3, 2006 11:09:
I read the same thing this morning.... So probaly its going to be promoted there.... Without promosion they wouldnt realse it.

Thre editors note has vanished - is it comfirmed then?
ncurran said on September 3, 2006 11:14:
think they’ve just taken away the editors note, because they now have the link to the BBC weblink. Still dont think its true though

You are partially right. MATAH was the last Roxette single made in the UK. The EMI CD factory in Swindon was closed in 2002, to concentrate production in the Uden factory in the Netherlands.
ATAY was in fact released in the UK, but it was manufactured in Holland. And if it wasn’t released in the UK how come I could find it in my local Woolworth’s?
I don’t think Opportunity Nox was released in the UK though, at least I couldn’t find it anywhere, I bought it in Spain when I was on holidays.
Roxryder-V2002 said on September 3, 2006 14:02:
Sorry guys but do you really think UK release date comes before Sweden? I don’t see this happening any time soon maybe after October 4. Hope i’m wrong because this would be great but to me BBC took some info from the forums lying around the net and published without checking the dates first.
Again, hope i’m wrong...
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 15:03:
@ Roxryder-V2002
You are wrong, it’s released in Sweden on the 20th September and Germany on the 22nd....
The UK release is on the 25th, that makes it 5 days after Sweden!
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 15:04:
Also I got ATAY in my local Woolworths as well, and HMV stocked it as well! :)
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 15:10:
Opp Nox, didn’t get a UK release... I think I got the German release!
ncurran said on September 3, 2006 15:24:
ally, 20th Sept is the radio airplay date in sweden, the single isnt released until 4th Oct
tevensso (moderator) said on September 3, 2006 17:06:
I agree, it sounds very unlikely that a possible UK release is 2 weeks before a Swedish.
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 17:16:
So it changed, as on the original article on TDR is says September 20th....
http://www2.dailyroxette.com/article.php/2081
ncurran said on September 3, 2006 17:34:
yeah it must have been delayed. the new release date is in this article.

Wicf said on September 3, 2006 17:51:
I completely forgot ATAY was released in UK. Charted outside the Top 75 like MATAH, I suppose. I think OW won’t do better :( But it doesn’t matter anyway. I only hope OW is a great song!
ally77 said on September 3, 2006 18:05:
So I am gonna guess that the BBC site has the old perhaps original release date...
secrets_that_sh... said on September 3, 2006 19:20:
***wicf***
I think ATAY peaked at no 11 in the UK, but I’m not entirely positive.
Can anybody confirm this???
Thanks
Kiwein1 said on September 4, 2006 06:39:
Great news for all the UK guys here. I still hope that OW isn’t as crappy as ON was.
chrisr86 said on September 4, 2006 23:08:
In my opinion, Opportunity Nox was great! Not their finest moment by any means, but still really good. But hey, that’s just me ;-)
I really hope (if and when it’s released) that One Wish gets at least some promotion though... although we know what EMI are usually like *rolls eyes*
Room_service said on September 5, 2006 02:59:
chrisr86, I agree with you! You are not alone. I love ON. I think it’s one of the most underrated Roxette singles ever. It deserved to be a hit!
Kiwein1 said on September 5, 2006 06:02:
Ok, I’d say the song itself was ok, but the production was lousy.
ncurran said on September 5, 2006 19:19:
well i emailed HMV yesterday to ask if they have anything on their release schedules. Will let you know what they come back with, if anything. I figured I was more likely to get a response from them than EMI UK.
Denstandigaresan said on September 5, 2006 23:21:
secrets_that_she_keeps ah yes... but I didn’t get it from the UK.
I do remember trying to find it, but wasn’t successful.

Great news...
...but...
Is it going to get any promotion or airplay?
It would be nice if they do a bit of promotion as they did with “A Thing About You”.
Scandinavian bands seem to be on the rise again in the UK, after the success of A-ha’s “Analogue” album ...but again they worked really hard doing loads of promotion as well as a few concerts.
