Drugs

Hell, finally an interesting topic! LOL!
Yep, ofcourse - I dont have a “chemically induced” username for nothing! LOL.
I still do dope, e and coke when its there/around, when we party at afterparties, or whatever.
Have never done shrooms or acid, or anything else (I’ve seen Spun and Trainspotting waaaay too many times to ever consider doing meth or heroin). And I’m sure to flip my biscuit if i tried acid or shrooms.
KIDS: LISTEN UP!!! If it aint fun anymore and you still doing it, then you have a problem. It’s not called recreational drugs for nothing. Fun when you doing it wih friends, when you start doing it by yourself, get help.
Cheers (and party safe)
:o)

Tried cannabis several times. Never really liked it though. Just makes me feel tired and dizzy...i would rather get drunk.
I’ve had speed once, and coke 4 or 5 times. I probably wouldnt do it again, but i did really enjoy them. Its not really like some big mind changing experience, its just like being a really happy, energetic drunk.
Now that i’m a bit older i think i’ll stay clear of drugs. I’m already a nicotine addict, the last thing i would want would be to be a drug addict aswell.

Well, I’ve only tried Cannabis a couple of times and that’s it really. Didn’t really do anything for me at all, so haven’t really bothered with anything else. None of my friends that i socialise with now take drugs, so I don’t mix in those sorts of circles anymore.
A few friends I used to have did take drugs, but one of died of an overdose in his bath and his girlfriend went out of control and ended up in prison. She lost a lot of her friends, me included I’m afraid to say, but at that time in my life I had other things going on. Plus I think seeing what drugs can do to someone has well put me off.
I don’t have any desire at all to do anymore drugs. The only drugs I’m gonna partake in now is caffine and alcohol!!

No, quite happy to watch people get stoned, never seen the attraction myself...

thanks ncurran and paul (sry can never remember yr nick)
i never wanted to try it. .dunno what is going on with me now all a sudden:P Maybe going thru my mid 20s crisis or something haha. Maybe i feel i wanna break free and go crazy before i have to “grow up”. but then i keep thinking if i did do drugs - i’d never be able to tell my children “no you can NOT do that” lol.
zaine said on August 24, 2006 08:34:
why would you want to tell your kids that, if they share the same curiosities you do?
if you wanna know, try it. but be clever about who is with you at the time. choose good friends who wont pressure you, and know you well enough to help stop you getting addicted.
as far as telling your kids ’no’ goes, dont do that. tell them to be smart too. if it doesnt hurt you, let them find out for themselves. if it does hurt you, tell them. it will make them think about it, and they will take some precautions too.
just my two cents.

Mostly just pot and shrooms - acid once only - usually only at parties. I never had any addiction to drugs because I used them relatively infrequently. A good friend of mine OD’d and she ended up in the hospital. Not surprisingly, she quit after that experience, and I gave it up altogether
as well.

I’ve never came into contact with drugs. Well I was more one of the geek fraction and did not have contact to the ’right’ persons... *rolleyes* I do not even smoke.
And that’s good the way it went, because I’m a curious person despite being wary.
Kathrin said on August 29, 2006 08:13:
I will never do Drugs cuz I know what happened to my Uncle!
He was a Hippie in the 70’s and he got Hepatitis C (after he stopped using Drugs)from alll those Needles that he used together with others and he Died in 2001!
TinyBubbles said on August 29, 2006 08:55:
But when i try it, it will be in a moderately safe environment. I’ll be smart about it. Well about as smart as one can be taking drugs :S
whateveriam said on August 29, 2006 10:12:
And hopefully buy it off someone you trust enough not to sell you some talc/rat poison/similar, or just dodgy gear.
brentnewtown said on August 29, 2006 11:40:
Heaps and all.
Fun for a while but it doesn’t last and eventually (for me at least) things get tough and you have to decide to give up or get into a serious siutation.
Really, I think by not trying drugs you are not missing anything.
felicity-brown said on August 29, 2006 12:55:
This and that - once or twice, you know... ;) Haven’t touched a thing in years and have never become addicted to anything - don’t even smoke. And not even been able to have a drink the last few months grrr ;)

I’ll stick with the booze, partly cos if I overdo it, I know the consequences.
ally77 said on August 29, 2006 14:39:
Never done drugs, never been really into a circle where they have been offered to me, even if they where I would not take them, hell I don’t even like taking perscribed drugs let alone illegal ones!
zaine said on August 30, 2006 10:34:
i wouldnt.
puts a fair amount of stress on your heart, and isnt really something you can be ’smart’ about.
miss-misery said on August 30, 2006 11:35:
I tried cannabis several times, not too often. I felt alright, I guess :)
I never tried harder drugs, and I don’t think I’ll ever do. I don’t feel very attracted to stuff like that.
TinyBubbles said on August 31, 2006 07:11:
But i dont think trying it just once would have any longlasting side effects? Just wanna try it once and get it out of my system. Prolly would try cannabis first.
kachina008 said on August 31, 2006 09:09:
depends on what you try. Someone I know knows someone else who thought it was a good idea to go get some magic mushrooms, that pretty much f**ked him up completely. he spent months in the hospital, in therapy and is now at home with his mom because he can’t get a job as his mind is still messed up.
Seems like a pretty damn big risk to me to “have fun”.
Pot doesn’t hit you the first time you try it. Then you try it again and again to get an effect and then u’re hooked.
What’s the point really? Listen to some good music, let yourself go, it’s the same thing.
purplemedusa said on August 31, 2006 09:47:
Boubles, stay clear of E... rather have some space cakes!!
zaine said on August 31, 2006 11:35:
i agree with PM and Sheba here. E isnt meant to be fun.
I don’t see a problem with cannabis, but as sheba says it takes a few before you start to feel anything. It isn’t addictive though, not like tobacco is anyway. its the situation that becomes addictive rather than the grass itself. I also agree with something that carbonboy said further up the page. “It’s not called recreational drugs for nothing. Fun when you doing it wih friends, when you start doing it by yourself, get help.” I think thats a great thing to keep in mind.
But seriously, I wouldnt go for the e Ananda. Its a huge risk for something you really dont need in you. if you’re going down that road I think speed is a better option. I don’t know much about it but thats what I understand.
TinyBubbles said on August 31, 2006 14:13:
rrrrr maybe i should just stick to coke then. i really thought E was much safer than Speed!! I know shit about drugs tho. Hence this thread. And i’ll take all your comments to heart thank you very much. I only said e cuz that is what would be available to me. That is what a friend of mine has tried and loved and suggested. You guys really think just trying it once would be so bad?:O Maybe i should do some research and ask more ppl. e seemed like the perfect thing for me to try. Dont worry Suz. You seem a bit concerned:P I’ll TRY and be smart about it when and if i try it. ME promise. Meantime ask your friends and such about e.. cuz i really cant see myself trying anything else. Apart form the weed, but really i dont think that suits me very well:P I honestly dont intend on making it a habbit or anything. I really do mean i just wanna try it ONCE.
[edit] with coke i meant coca-cola ofc :)
ally77 said on August 31, 2006 16:06:
Laughing at the coke joke there...
I see nothing wrong with Cannabis but I have not tried it, and don’t wish to!
zaine said on August 31, 2006 19:44:
ananda i was talking with friends about it during the week, by coinsidence.
basically e increases your heart rate, putting a lot of pressure and stress on your heart. you would feel like you have more energy than you really do. It could have an effect like when you stall a car. ie that there is not enough fuel going through to keep up with what is going on. basically your heart would stall in this way. your body temperature would also increase by about 6’c. doesnt sound a lot, but it would feel a lot. You are also more likely to dehydrate while using it as you are using more energy. therefore, users drink more than they should, trying to outsmart the drug. but you cant tell how much to drink, because your body is not at a normal state. users of E often drink too much and ’drown the brain’. I can’t really explain that, just use your imagination.
Speed has similar mental effects to E. ie alertness, confidence and raises levels of energy and stamina etc. only thing with speed is that its effects start instantly, which increases the risk of over dosing. speed is more like caffeine in its effects. It causes more alertness, rather than giving you a fake amount of energy. you are more likely to be addicted to speed, as the down can make you feel tired, lethargic and depressed and tempt you to take more.
thats as far as my knowledge takes me. hope it helps?
*edit* the reason i would say dont use E especially, is that it can kill you first time you use it. you dont need to be addicted, because it can have such a severe effect on your body first time.
whateveriam said on August 31, 2006 20:46:
drown your brain, by diluting your blood plasma, thereby causing your cells in your organs to swell due to changes in water concentration, and subsequently burst.
Now, thats enough to put me off E for life, but it was once medication!
Majdy said on September 1, 2006 19:07:
***Have you ever tried it?
Nope. Back then, my reason not to try that because I was too affraid that I might accidentally everyone my secret. Now, I don’t want to try it because i have lost my curiosity even I have never tried it.
***did you ever have friends who did?
Yes. Some of them still okay, probably because they don’t only use that much, and something that not “too” dangerous. But, I have relatives that died because of it, and he was still 13 years old. last year, my neighbour also died for being O.D and left her daughter became an orphan.
whateveriam said on September 1, 2006 20:40:
Yes. like osmosis. Pretty gross, but you can dilute blood plasma just by drinking too much.
Santi said on September 1, 2006 20:46:
Excuse me, but doesn’t the excess of water go nearly directly into the kidney’s and out for good?
When I drink alcohol, especially beer, I tend to go to the bathroom more often than normal.
Santi said on September 1, 2006 21:15:
Oh well, but that’s something different, isn’t it? I mean, no one forces you to drink, right?
This, however, links well with some past thread we had in here in which I said that drinking a lot of water as it’s “recommended” is far from being healthy.
TinyBubbles said on August 20, 2006 15:07:
I wonder how many of you would be willing enough to be honest and talk about it.
Have you ever tried it?
what did you use?
how many times?
did you like it?
did you get addicted?
did you ever have friends who did?
If like me you’ve never tried it..what was your reason for never getting into drugs?
If you had tried it..why?
Considered it myself at age 14/15 but never did and i guess it had a lot to do with the fact that i was very religious back then. Didn’t wanna disappoint Jesus lol. Now i have a friend who occasionally uses E and pot and eventho i dont seriously consider it myself, i do often wonder what it is like and if it would be ok to try just once. I dont, cuz knowing me.. if i like it, i’d try it again. And again. And again.
But i’d like to know what it feels like?
