STOCKHOLM (UPDATED) - The latest single from the hit album “Son of a Plumber” (sold more than 102,000 copies so far), “Hey Mr DJ (Won’t You Play Another Love Song)” enters the official Swedish top 40 chart at #12 today. The single is marked as “newcomer of the week.” Per comments this as “How fun!!!”

According to TDR’s sources the remix single is out to radio stations today.

Further info about the European releases is that Germany will release the album at the end of April, “EMI Germany seems very enthusiastic and wants to do lots of radio with this,” Per comments. He also tells TDR that “Jo-Anna Says” will be the first single in Germany, with “C’mon” as the B-side. The rest of Europe (excluding the UK which has not responded) goes with “Hey Mr DJ,” but only as a promo single for starters. While EMI UK has not responded to the album EMI Canada has, and they will also release the album.

According to EMI Sweden the singles to be released down in Europe will be digital only unless they turn out to be “super radio hits,” then EMI will quickly produce physical singles.

Fron the official SOPA-site: The official Top 40 chart show reaches more than 512,300 listeners every week, to be compared with the very popular radio show “Tracks” which has 319,200 listeners.

Top 40 REACHES 512,300 listeners. OK. But Tracks has 319,200 listeners. Is this the same thing? Or is the number of listeners and how many listeners that cah be reached the same thing?

It’s just words, of course they mean the same.

What about EMI Argentina, any response at all??

The question is, What about the US ?

Dream or actual reality ?

Take care!

Yay Canada! Would be nice to hear “Jo-Anna Says” on my local radio station... (-:

Hopefully EMI Germany will do their job properly. Anyway, it’s great that they are interested in the album :)

Good old EMI UK. Not really a surprise though. Let’s hope that it’s a success in Europe, then the UK might pick it up. Not holding out any hope though!

I honestly don’t think “Hey Mr. DJ” is strong radio material for Europe. (I have not heard any of the remixes either). I’m quite surprised the label/Per have gone with this (with the exception of Germany getting “Jo-Anna”). “I Like It Like That” or “Jo-Anna Says” would have worked better as the first single in Europe, in my opinion.

Good news...
