Dutch help

Hi,
I was wondering if any Dutch people can help me.

Firstly, i have what i think is the name of a street, but can’t make out the writing clearly. i think it says Debgeweg, but that doesn’t really look right.

Secondly, can you provide me with a link to the Dutch telepone directory.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

good luck!

Who’s being stalked, Brent?

:-) No stalking, official post office business.

I bought two roxette posters off Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21755&item=757...

I asked the seller to send the postes rolled in a tube instead of folded like she wanted to. She charged me 25 euros for postage (registered). She ended up sending them not in a tube, but in a long rectangular soft cardboard box thing. The package was crushed and the posters ruined by the time I received them because of the stupid packaging. I sent her photos showing and requested she send me two new posters. She refused so I have made a claim via paypal, although she wants me to try a claim through the post office. I didn’t want to because I can’t see why the post office would pay any compensation when it is obvious that the packaging was bad, but because of the paypal claim, I thought I probably should.

I need the Dutch info to help fill out the post office compensation form. I don’t want to have any futher contact with the seller.

Any idea in which city the street would be?

Or send me a private email and I’ll try to locate the person.

@colinvdbel
Rotterdam. The postal code (??) could be 306GUD, but once again the writing is very difficult to decipher.
thanks

Nope, that can’t be it, because Dutch postal codes always exist of 4 numbers and 2 letters...
Good luck!! Hope you find a way to get your money back

Ooh shit - the seller’s actually a friend of a friend! I better keep my nose outa this one!!

But Brent I hope that you can resolve this matter soon - yeah it’s not your responsibility if you’ve requested the tube!!

@purplemedusa

funny, i got the feeling that the seller may have some sort of rox affiliation.

to put your mind at ease, in relation to my questions, i am asking them because i can’t read her writing properly and need to include details of the sender’s address on the post office insurance claim form and don’t really want to email her again.

actually, i am just going to email her.

thanks everyone for your help.

A bit strange, since it seems this a person who has been dealing a lot with E-bay and hardly any negative comments.

Any good seller would not send out a poster in anything other than a tube.... I would just hate to buy posters and have them delivered folder up to me!

I’ve sold many posters and always post them in a tube, it’s not much different in postage and just ensures it gets there in one place, esp when it’s going to Australia!

If I where you, I would pursue through Paypal despite what the seller says, esp as you asked for postage and no doubt paid for it!

I know this is a bit of an old topic, but I know the seller. Did you sort out your problem Brent?

sorta ... only just this week though

my paypal claim involved two payments (due to an increase on the originally quoted postage price). paypal rejected the second claim because it only covered postage cost. the other claim was accepted but requires me to return the posters via registered mail. The result being I would only get about 25% of what i paid back, so I am going to just keep the posters but haven’t bothered telling the seller or paypal because I am peeved with both of them.

I also know the person.. but not nice what happened to you, as easy as it is to put posters in such a tube!!! :(

Good on you! :)

I don’t understand it, I know the seller and I know she knows about tubes because I was with her when she was looking for one once!!! Too bad what happened to you Brent, posters are horrible once they’ve been crushed.

I forgot to say - did you contact Ebay? They have some kind of policy on buyer protection. Maybe they can do something?

Ebay’s protection only covers item price (not postage) and they charge a $25 fee. How do so many people know the seller? Is she on here? ... not that I really need/want to know.

I don’t know if she’s here often but, at least she doesn’t write in the forum. She’s a long time Marie fan and I’ve met her in Sweden, used to be penpals like 10 years ago.
