Well, maybe i get sleepy from it too, at least from some of the songs.
But SOAP a weak album??? Please, can you tell me WHY the hell it would be weak? When I listen to it, i hear the real gessle IMHO, and i guess making a album which is that personal isn’t weak at all.
I also hear lots of creativity. Every number has got its own, special feeling. I guess that is something you can’t deny.
So, I can understand that it’s not your taste, but weak? No, really not weak.
I also have some cd’s in my collection which I really dislike, but which are musically seen brilliant. it’s just a matter of taste i guess...

no I don’t think it’s weak!!! This is the best Per’s album ever!!!! And I’m not a special Gessle fan...but this album is a real masterpiece!

It isn’t weak but it isn’t a masterpiece either - quite a few weak songs on it.
And yes I get sleepy hearing it and yes I do fall asleep sometimes but I like that..

SOAP is a deep and strong LP, and I definitely dont get sleepy listening it, I rather get a bit sad and melancholic with some songs.
There are also some cool rock tracks such as Somethin in the system, Drowning in wonderful thoughts about you, Come Back Tomorrow (which should´ve been the single instead of C´mon)... mmm...
greetz!

I fall asleep with some songs. I consider some songs are just fillers, like all those instrumentals. I would prefer a shorter album, with the strongest songs on it. It will flow better. I would remove:
- Week With Four Thursdays
- Late, Later On
- Ronnie Lane
- Waltz For Woody
- Something Happened Today
- Brilliant Career
- Burned Out Heart
I made my own compilation without all those songs and it sounds very good. It has a more homogenous, more consistent. By the way, I believe TWATG and Mazarin are stronger than SOAP. Some people will say I can’t compare these albums, but this is how I feel about it.

TinyBubbles said on December 5, 2005 13:34:
like what does SOAP have to do with rox? Therefore this = off topic :)
No? Damnit.
zeeshan said on December 5, 2005 13:35:
Nopes! Gessle, Roxette, Marie.... they fall in this category :p
Majdy said on December 5, 2005 13:44:
well, again... it’s a matter of taste ;) everyone has different taste.
zeeshan said on December 16, 2005 19:29:
Exactly!!
Earlier Per’s music had more “general” or mass appeal to them. Lately it is becoming more and more about taste of individuals. It’s pretty simple, I can bet that MOST of the people here love Look Sharp, Joyride and CBB album but the number of “fans” started to decrease after CBB cuz that mass appeal has started to fade. I think Gessle is lucky to have people who are willing to spend money and buy albums regardless of all that. That’s pure lucky.

No it doesn’t. And I don’t think it’s weak either.
