I hate pigeons!!!

I know they look cute and adorable and whatever, but they are not!!
Twice now I’ve been viciously attacked by a pigeon. They are arrogant, selfish, and I dare say violent creatures. If they don’t poo on my head or steal my lunch, they physically assault me. The little b******s.
I once had to kick one away from me over and over and oh don’t worry – it didn’t get hurt at all. Cant say the same for myself. It was attacking my open feet, pecking and pinching for no good reason. I was so startled I didn’t know what to do!
And then today while I was walking, a pigeon threw a piece of bread into the air and it hit me right in the eye!! It hurts really bad:( My eye is swollen and red and teary and bah!
They wont even get out of the way when I am walking. How I’ve managed not to step on a pigeon yet is a miracle cuz they wont give way! And has anyone noticed how many pigeons there are these days? I am telling you.. they are plotting to take over the world!

Awwww I don’t like them because I can’t peg out the washing cause the old man who’s 90 next door (guessing he won’t be around much longer!) feeds the buggers and they shit on my nice clean washing....
But on the otherhand when I go to work in the morning, the ones in the talk, I find myself saying Good Morning to them!!!!
Why is it you never see baby pigeons!

they may be nasty but they woudl go away if everyone were neater and stopped feeding them, they r smart bird not stupid and as for diasea thats not really true its their droppings that carry disease not the birds themselves

I hate them aswell. I’m quite scared of them actually after one flew into my face quite a few years ago. They are dirty and disgusting. Someone told me that they recently got rid of all the pigeons in London by releasing hawks into the city. Anyone know if thats true?

I have to admit when I try to eat my lunch in the town on a nice day, the town hall steps or something, they are always there waiting for crumbs etc.... that can be pretty damn annoying!

We used to have a pigeon problem at work. They used to crap all over the cars in the car park. The got a bloke in to sort them out though. Nice clean car park now! We get the occasional one walking into work as well. Quite amusing, and they never seem to be able to find their way back out!

One thing that always amuses me with these little birds is that I can pretty much always 100% say they shit on windows that have just been cleaned!
It’s like they fly over and look down and say to each other “window cleaner, we’ll be back” and 30 minutes a nice streak of bird poo down the window...
It’s the same when you’ve cleaned the car!

I love birds!! I just love them! and pigeon as well! I think they are very sweet. In downtown of Lisbon we have many and I love to give food to them:D Thye don’t hurt people, the only bad thing they do is to make their excrements on us:P

Yuk..... I found a dead one this lunch time in the garden! Alfie was about to tuck into an early lunch and there’s me franticly trying to get the bugger in to stop him picking at this dead pigeon…. Needless to say a cat must have had it, and pecked its entire head… Had to get my dad to come over to clear it up!

I used to think they were cute. When I was small, my father brought home a couple of pigeons he had found at his work, and we kept them in a cage in our backyard. Around the same time, my brother developed a really nasty eye and skin infection and my parents very gently told me we had to let the pigeons go. I wailed and wailed, not wanting to liberate my new friends. So, exasperated, my mother finally gave me an ultimatum. Either the pigeons go, or my brother goes. I sulked and said that I chose the pigeons. Mother was not amused. :-)
Now, twenty years later, I think pigeons are filthy animals that are nothing but rats with wings. Ew.
