"The Change" sales?

Does anyone know, how many copies Marie’s “The Change” album has sold in the world?

Did it sold even “gold” in Sweden? Poor sales around the globe I guess. I suppose max. 50 000.

It did sell gold in Sweden, yes. Don’t know about the rest of the planet.

50 K? Are you kidding?? He he... I think it is impossible nowadays to sell that little if an album is released via a big company internationally...When sales are usually orders from record companies...
Anyway, I believe it has sold some 50 000 copies in Sweden alone...I’d predict ww sales around at least 150 000-200 000 units for now.

animalkingdom, as far as I know, 50 000 is more close than 100 000. The Change has sold outside of Sweden just couple of thousand copies or less.

So The Change was sold gold in Sweden. Was it officially confirmed??? And my guess is that at least 30 000 copies were sold abroad.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the sales figures are very low. The album was hardly promoted at all here in Sweden, and I imagine it’s worse in other countries. You can’t even find the All About You single here, the only place I’ve seen it is at the big Åhlens. Still I don’t think Marie made this album to hit the charts, it’s more of a personal project.

Some “The Change” facts:
According to www.hitlistan.se, this are Marie’s last album chart positions (week by week):
Nov 4 = 1
Nov 11 = 1
Nov 18 = 12
Nov 25 = 17
Dec 2 = 5 —> Here it sold “GOLD”
Dec 9 = 6
Dec 16 = 10
Dec 23 = 12
Dec 30 = 13
Jan 6 = 22
Jan 13 = 29
Jan 20 = 28
Jan 27 = 28
Feb 3 = 49
Feb 10 = I don’t find the album anymore. It’s out, I guess. Chart possitions just up to 60.
It spent 14 weeks in the chart, 2 weeks at #1, it sold Gold and it was the #18 best selling album in Sweden during 2004. A good achievement, without any promotion (just a TV documentary) nor video clips. Consider too it was released in late October, and it’s among the 20 best selling albums however! (just 2 months in the stores).
“2nd Chance” single spent 13 weeks in the singles chart (highest position # 8). I didn’t find anything about “All About You” single. Sadly, I guess it didn’t charted. It’s a shame, because it’s a nice song. Some people said it’s hard to find even in Sweden, I don’t know that’s true or not. Luckily, I have my copy :o) I will appreciate some info about it.
I hope this info helps. In my oppinion, Marie has done a good job, hasn’t she?
