A-ha

Does anybody here like A-ha? It was the first band I liked at the age of 8 or so... I still like them and I think Morten Harket solo albums are great too. It’s cool to listen to Norwegian for a change sometimes!

Hi Roxlad. A-ha was also my first favourite band, aged 9 for me :-) I didn’t know Morten did any solo albums: what are they like? Pop? I got their greatest hits the other day and I’m listening to Stay On These Roads and I’ve Been Losing You the most. I think also that Scoundrel Days was a great album. All the best from Rich ;-)

A-ha is one of my favorites, too. I’ve been to 3 concerts and got a lot of their albums and solo stuff.

Morten has released 3 solo albums, 2 in Norwegian and 1 in English (Wild Seed). The latter is rather pop, so is the 2nd one in Norwegian.
The first one in Norwegian is called Poetenes Evangelium and is a gospel record.

Nice to know some of you like the band!
Unfortunately I have never been to see them live but I will do next time.
@Rich I can send you some MP3’s if you’re curious about Morten solo.
About Savoy, I have never heard them, are they good?

A-ha is very great!!!!!! I´m a huge fan of them. I´ve been to a concert here in Rio de Janeiro (2002) and it was amazing....
LaMan said on January 22, 2005 18:26:
I love them, always did.
I´m glad they´re back again as a-ha. They has another Greatest Hits out AGAIN... :(
How is it doing in German charts??????
The best album: the 1st one :)

@ Roxlad. Yes, I am curious about Morten’s solo stuff. My address is in my profile if you fancy sending any of the poppy stuff! All the best from Rich
Superbullie said on January 23, 2005 12:45:
@LaMan: Their latest greatest hits album did not reach a position higher than 50. I think it’s because no one is interested in buying the songs they allready have. It’s the last release with their old record company
roxlad said on January 23, 2005 22:25:
@Rich-UK, you have mail...
@Superbullie, and do you know when their next studio album is coming and on what label???
Superbullie said on January 24, 2005 18:47:
Their new record company is universal.
I don’t know when the new album will be released, but I think at the end of this year or in spring next year.

I like some of their music. But to be honest, I have not heard a lot of it (considering I live in the USA). I re-discovered “The Sun Always Shines On TV” back in 2003 and checked out a few of their other songs/singles.
I’m interested in picking up their ’The Singles 1984 | 2004’ release (which I see was just released in November?). Does anybody know if the “Single Remix” (not the album version) is the version of “The Sun Always Shines On TV” used on this compilation? I’ve been trying to get my hands on this for a long time now.
TheRain1981 said on January 25, 2005 10:42:
Okay, nevermind, it’s the 7” Version (4:42) (which is apparently remixed slightly and edited) used for “The Sun Always Shines On TV.” I’ll be ordering my copy shortly! :)

a-ha are amazing and the last 2 albums in particular (Lifelines / Minor Earth) are simply classix! I also bought Mags’ cd but it is difficult to listen to. The 2002 Tour was magnificent and I can’t w8 to see them again!

Hi, Folks!
I must say that I just ADORE A-Ha!
Morten Harket’s voice is just amazing! It’s the best male voice I’ve ever listened to.
As I wrote in another topic, it would be wonderful if we’ll have the chance to listen to a M&M duet...
There’s a sort of amazing Morten songs in the web that was never released in his solo albums. I can tell you some of them:
1. Heaven’s Not For Saints
2. A Change Is Gonna Come
3. All Of You Concerned
4. Can’t Take My Eyes Off You
5. Holy Ground
6. I Only Wanna Be With You
7. It Was You
8. Jungle Of Beliefs
9. Where You Are (duet with Silje Nergaard)
10. Bridge Over Troubled Water (Live)
And some another songs...

For Morten solo songs that aren’t not on his albums, don’t forget the amazinging most beautiful “Camilla og Tyven” from the movie with the same name, where he played a leading part :)

Used to love A-Ha around 1988 or so.
During the “Hunting High and Low” -period

@Rich-UK
I’ve just realized that you’d received some Morten Harket songs at 1/23/2005. Sorry for sending you songs too late, as I did last Sunday. I think you had time enough to love or hate Morten Harket songs through that period...
Speedo said on January 22, 2005 09:08:
A-ha is great! I have all their albums and have seen them live 2x in 2002. I also have the solo albums, music from Savoy and Magne’s album Past Perfect Future Tense, which is very different from A-ha.
