Ok, Ive signed in properly this time.....
As i said before, i meant in the UK they dont get enough praise and im always sick and tired of idiots (such as Gates) getting all the praise.
Its come to the point now(especially in this country, the UK) that the charts are just a farce),
I was a senior buyer at HMV over here and they just make up the album chart as they go along...the singles chart isnt made up but still..theres still toooooo much crap in them.
I bet its great to live in Sweden as im sure Roxette,Per and GT are all held in high regard. You ask people over here and they say..”Who???”
Its a real shame as i really love the band and just wish that they had more backing when releasing stuff over here.
Lets just hope that when Rox do decide to bring out a new album, they get maximum promoting!!!! Maybe produce a song for a new movie or somthing.:-)

Who says that Aftonbladet is more correct than we are?

if you look at GLF’s version of hitlistan you see that it’s 5 platinum....

@ Crash... I agree with you... but which ever way you look at it.. Rox will never make a major come back in the UK... no matter what is done.. the British charts will always be full of crap!

yeah, but Aftonbladet is slow on updating it... they claimed that Mazarin was 2 platinum for a very long time....

Sales of “Tycker Om...” may be falling, but it’s shot up to #2 on the airplay chart, making it 3/3 singles to reach the Top 2 in airplay! http://www.hitmakarna.nu/radiotopp50.html

Some ppl should take TDR more seriously, even Swedish reporters check this site from time to time for news ;) :P

LOL I agree with that about Marie’s voice, but I prefer her singing HER songs :P

Mazarin is great album. I think alot of people discount it because it’s not in english. Amazingly enough, music can be amazing even if not understood on a direct level.
It’s nice figuring out what the singer is singing about using the tone of voice, melodies in the background and the pace. Give it a try sometime.
Superbullie said on February 15, 2004 22:26:
That’s really great: 5 times platinum for over 300000 sold copies.
Now Mazarin would have gone platinum even in Germany where you have to sell more than 200000 copies to get it.
I also think that it would be crap to translate it and re-sing Mazarin in English! It’s perfect the way it is!!! And from my point of view Per does not mind if he sells 100000 more or less. He has allready sold about 50 million records worldwide!

It seems to be the first time when Pelle didn’t care for sells & money while making music. Let it be like this forever since now! Hopefully, the Fair Lady of Swedish Rock will act the same way, no matter in what language they both are going to sing on their albums. Can’t wait for more of your divinely beautiful songs, Marie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Superbullie said on February 16, 2004 15:05:
You are absolutely right Loki.
I am also waiting for Marie’s wonderfull songs to be released as soon as the album has been finished. Hope it will be released all over Europe, because of its english lyrics!

Right, but i don’t believe that the “Har kommer alla kanslorna” would be world hit. It’s nice song, but i think that only swedish people and big roxette fans can really like this song.
I also think that per his best song keeps for him and the rest are for roxette (what a hit it would be if Spegelboll was released instead of opportunity nox!!)
Loki said on February 17, 2004 10:41:
Hopefully, the period of shit songs for Roxette is over. I can’t say if Pelle earlier really kept the best songs for himself, but let us hope that recording and releasing only good songs (no matter solo, Roxette, etc.) will from now become the only way for him :) . I believe in our Pelle!

Hehe, what happened to my comment? I guess it didn’t fit the discussion. ;-)

Crash & Ally @ I was very surprised TBH charted in the UK.
tevensso (moderator) said on February 25, 2004 12:56:
So finally it’s true then... (Yes, a bit of sarcasm here.)
CRASH said on February 25, 2004 16:09:
To STORMKEEPER...
As you said before about TBH charting over here in the UK, yeah i was a little surprised that it charted here aswell, although it was tied in with valantines day!!!(and the big heart on the cover kinda helped!!) TPH however just dissapeared, which is a shame because i always felt it was a strong compilation....
I SAY, bring on the next album,go back to their roots and for gods sake....GET SOME PROMOTION!!!!!!!
What do you think?
CRASH said on February 25, 2004 16:13:
Oh and one more thing...why does everyone think that “Spegelboll” is so cool/great.
It just sounds dated to me. Im sure ill get a backlash for saying that but come on, its not that a great song.Is it???
Jud (moderator) said on February 25, 2004 16:13:
@thomas: no, Aftonbladet must have copied it wrong from TDR ;)
roxtexanet said on February 25, 2004 17:31:
@CRASH: I agree with you, “Spegelboll” is no favourite of mine either... it’s an awesome album, but not because of that song (-: I definitely prefer “Opportunity Nox!”
“Mazarin” holds at #3 this week (well, last week, I guess!). “Tycker” rebounds from 19 to 11 on the sales chart (up and down, up and down...) and holds steady at #2 on the airplay chart. “Mazarin” is definitely going out with a bang!
Bunio said on February 25, 2004 21:56:
Per should release Spegelboll as 4th single!
It would continue a great tradition of singles from Mazarin to be a smashing hits:-)
P.S.
Sory for my english :)
