Y are guys always labeling & disrespecting women?

Okay I was at the club last night and I gotta tell u the guys were so disrespectful. I tell a guy that I have a daughter at home and all of a sudden I’m a whore cuz I’m a young mother. I mean those guys probably have many kids with different women and they can get away with it. No one cares-its the normal thing. But if a girl had many kids with different guys she’s a whore when maybe its not her fault. I though am living with the father of my baby. He’s my boyfriend.

See this is why I look up to Christina Aguilera so much because she has the song “Can’t Hold Us Down” and it talks about this issue and many others. A guy can do something and get away with it but when a girl does it she gets labeled for it and it causes controversey. Its not fair at all! See I’m a strong person and I always stand up for myself. I never back away from anything. But also at the club, guys were talking to my friend and telling her to dress more sexy, more revealing u know, and I was like since when should girls listen to guys to look and act the way they want girls to?

Anyways...I want girls opinions. U agree with me on this? I dont know why but this popped in my head while I was in here and I wanted to know if any other girls have been in the same position and what they think about this.

No I don’t agree... too common these days esp here in the UK for single woman to have kids by different men and there is no friggin excuse for it, enough contraception on the market... anyone can understand one mistake but to have 4 or 5 kids with different men is just wrong, and makes the person look like a whore or slag as we would call them here in the UK... take people that live on my close.. one woman has 4 children already all my different men with a 5th on the way.. none of the men are around to support the kids but why go on to have a 5th... I tell you why cause she can’t be arsed going out to support her kids, so thinks.. time for baby number 5! I would not mind she is about 38.... She is also known for going out on the pull and bringing men home all times of the night, sometimes having the police to physically remove them in the morning...

I’m single and I want kids... pref with no man... (deemed impossible) but I ain’t planning on sleeping around to get a kid, I’ll wait until the time is right...

It’s too common now to have babies without thinking and the best part the goverment will keep them, so the longer the goverment do this the more kids they’ll keep pushing out..

Personally I don’t know how it works in the states but here in the UK it is far to easy...

I am not calling every single woman with kids by different men, sometimes there are proper reasons as to why, such as relationship break ups, death etc...

Men have to be responsible as well, so really it works on both sides... but any woman not in a proper relationship needs to sit back and think.. ermm do I really want another baby.. ermm no then I need to take precautions when I kop off this evening.. ;)

Prime example, someone else who lives near me... has 3 kids all girls in a 3 bedroom house, she left her husband, well she threw him out... well not husband as they where not married... after a relationship of nearly 12 years. New fellow moves in... I might add he has 3 boys from a previous relationship that are staying over a lot... now they are expecting a baby again, not even been in a relationship for 6 months.. wham pregnant again and to top it all off she goes out and buys a 9 week old puppy two days ago... NOT THINKING where the hell this BIG extending family are going to sleep.... max of 3 kids of same sex in these houses... so I hope she is planning a house move real soon!

Stupid... not thinking of her own kids before planning another...

Another point... a family member whom I might add I ain’t see for 7 years and don’t wish too, has 3 kids all by different men, none of which the men hung around to support them. The kids turned out just as bad, one went on to get pregnant at 13, 15 & 17. The other is currently doing time in prison for attempted murder!!! WHY? more than likely he was not given the attention he needed when he was growing up... his mother was off sleeping around with anyone and everything, so he did all he could to get attention... he was dubbed the one boy crimewave of this town, all the kid wanted was a little bit of love and attention... I don’t know how the third kid turned out as I ain’t see her since she was 9 years old...

As far as I am concerned... there is NO reason to have kids at such a young age... The only reason I could accept this is if

a) you have been raped

or

b) you have been abused

Too many kids are having kids nowadays... personally I think hearing the terms “it was an accident” is just stupid... time the goverment told them to support there own kids...

The kid thing was only an example. My point is that when a girl does the same thing as a guy they get labeled for it and the guy doesn’t. I’m also talking about that girls shouldn’t have to look or act a certain way just to please men. That’s what I’m talking about.

If woman want to dress as tarts then they will regardless of what men think... Woman that dress as tarts, are out for one thing.....

Ok imagine Christina Aguilera. U know how she used to dress-too sexy and in some people’s minds slutty. U might say “tarts.” U say almost every girl that is dressed like a “tart” is dressed that way for one thing. Well that is not true at all. See this is what I’m talking about. Just because we dress a certain way doesn’t mean that we have to act like it. If a girl dresses slutty it doesn’t mean she’s a slut. If a girl dresses very “virgin-like” it doesn’t mean she’s a virgin.

and why do you think all guys are this “disrespectful” towards women? That is labeling guys to my eyes ;)

Anyway, to each their own.

Good point there Judith... yeah not all guys are like this....

It is time that women learnt to respect themselves FIRST, and do things for themselves, rather that someone else. Rest will follow.

I agree with you kachina. I do think that someone DO need to respect themselves first.

i support setrilizing girls until they are 18 there are some countres where they legally do it to women on welfare who continue to have kids. things are out of control its bad enough kids are having ” sex” when thye r twelve and rap doesnt help with its misodgenistic message that women r sluts n hoes and sex slaves. the world is heading downhill fast

Thats nice. how about sterelizing the men then also? Actually, that would work better don’t u think, since men produce sperm till they die, and women have a limited # of eggs.

GEEZUZ. what kinda world do u live in?!@?!?!!

A warped one... ;)

Although sterelizing every guy in the world would soon lead to the end of the human race. Yea kids have sex at an early age. Its not like they didn’t when u guys were kids. Its still the same as it is now. Actually like in the 1300’s or w/e girls were getting married and having kids at the age of like 12 so really today is even better than before. Also its not every young girls fault if she gets pregnant:
1-the condum could have broken
2-the sperm could’ve made its way out of the condum
3-a girl could have been raped

Perhaps... but it’s her fault for being so stupid as for wanting to jump into bed at such a young age... talk about wasting your youth!

OMG, citygirl, is that you????????

I think so.... ;)

Stunt101sista I know exactly how u feel. It’s like a guy can do something but if a girl does it all of a sudden she’s labeled for it and the guy gets away with it. Believe me where I live I get respect. I’d fight if I had to get it. In case anyone’s wondering I’m 17. I hate guys and yet I love my friends and boyfriend. HAHA.

stunt101sista: There is something called abortion. Some people might be sensitive to the subject but I don’t give a damn. Some stupid 15-year old gets pregnant and because of her faith, she decides to keep the baby no matter how hard and ruin her life and possibly the baby’s. It’s a choice to keep the baby really but sometimes it’s pure stupidity.

Secondly, men don’t label women. Women label women. I have seen many more women labeling their friends than men. I have never seen a guy labelling a girl. Guys don’t care. Guys don’t go around gossip and talk behind a girl’s back just because there’s something wrong with her. They don’t go around labelling girls with no style. Us girls do it to each other. So before blaming things on men, take a look around at girls around you and judge for yourself.

Thirdly, this is an issue that not many people look at it your way unless they get pregnant before being married. Others are careful. Some aren’t. Who doesn’t enjoy having sex without a condom. Oh and by the way, there are morning after pills. Whenever a condom breaks or slips or whatever, you can take one of those. No side effects what so ever. So back to the first point, it’s a choice. One who goes in the opposite direction of what society believes in no matter how incorrect, has to deal with it.

do whatever you want, as long as you know you can deal with the consequences, and harm no one.

DG: totally agree with the women labeling women remark. that is so true. ;)

what the hell man?! Just the head? Is that how a fetus grows??? Please go study abortion first and then paste a picture from one those gross sites! So you’d rather raise a kid all alone at 15 than have a head coming out like that? I don’t mind even if it’s like that although IT ISN’T!

Is that suppose to be scary... they showed an abortion on TV here in the UK a couple of weeks ago... but failing that we sat through one for RS back in 1993.. all gory on a video.. I think it was suppose to shock us.. but it didn’t..

Remember it is a woman’s choice! ;)

I don’t even want to go to that site. I’m afraid of what I might see. I mean I’m only 17 and an immature one at that.

I agree with stunt101sista. SOME ’men’ (although when describing these ’men’ - i usually use the term ’scumbags!’) are ignorant and abnauctious and rude and arrogant.

But not all of them.

And, kwelis - I’m only 17 years old too, but I looked at those pictures. I find some of your views on ’steralisation’ disgusting! What type of a world do we live in when we have to steralise 15-year old girls cause there’s a risk of getting pregnant. So what? Women have an ability to get pregant - but that doesn’t mean that they should be out having sex at all! If we just go around, sticking needles in young girls - what message are we giving out? It’s just like parents are saying - “we know your having sex, but we’re not gonna risk you getting pregnant!” Why don’t they control their sons/daughters to wait till they’re responsible to have sex and be able to deal with the reprocutions properly. Do kids today not have any sense of self-control??

I agree with you small-talker. A lot of kids don’t have any control. But it’s like when girls have a lot of sex they get labeled as a slut-which is probably true, but there’s a difference in being a slut and just dating a lot. But now as for the guys they really don’t get labeled. They might be called a pimp or a playa but to them that’s a compliment. I don’t think it’s fair. I agree with what Stunt has been saying 100%.

You know women do label each other but actually nowadays guys label girls more than girls label theirselves. But of course no one labels the guys.

You know a lot of “wiggers” say mean things about girls and greet them in hurtful ways like “Hey ho” u know. Some of the slang lately is just idiotic.

If you act like a slut, you get called one, it’s that simple...

True, it’s that simple.

There was a great article in the UK papers I think last week about a 14 year old British girl who was given an abortion without her parents knowing, yet the school knew...

Her mother is flying off the handle saying it was all wrong, and it should have not been done without the parents consent, but there has been no laws broken... Her mother now is going to sue the school and the health authority... but there is one question that really sticks in my mind...

The mother feels it was wrong, but did she know her 14 year old daughter was having sex with a 13 year old boyfriend... if so did she give advice about not getting pregnant... if she didn’t know then she wants to ask herself what kind of parent she really is???

Maybe slightly off topic, but thought it would go well here...
