Are there any fans of Classical music here?

I’ve just recently been getting into the beauty of classical music. I’d love to get into it some more, but am simply overwhelmed by the sheer volumes of classical CDs out there! Anyone out there able to help me improve my taste in music?

From the 2/3 Classical CDs I have, I like these songs:

Bach: Suite No. 3 in D Minor, BWV 1068: Ait On A G String
Beethovan: Moonlight Sonata
Beethovan: Pathetitique Sonata
Bach: Piano Concerto No. 5

Anyone else have any ideas what I might like?

Now that you are into classical, don’t call those songs, called them pieces :).

I grew up loving classical music. My parents are both musicians and I have had the privilege of living with classical music. So yeah I am a big lover.

Those pieces you mentioned are very good. What kind of rhythm are you looking for though?

You seem to be leaning towards the Austrian / Germanic composers with those pieces.

Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms are all very good composers. If you go to Yahoo!, Google, or other search engines, you can find a WEALTH of information on them.

And only when I don’t wanna do a thing but vegitate do I listen to Cassical. I often wonder if I have ADHD because I can’t seem to sit still long enough to listen....

spooks, not just you, me also. altho I played classical piano for more than 10 years, just can’t seem to get into it. weird.

You might like something that (almost) everyone likes, “Le Quattro Stagioni” by Antonio Vivaldi :D

Won’t you like it?

You don’t have to be sitting still while listening to classical music. Classical music brings the besy out of me. All the hand movements. Blood rushing down ur body. I LOVE THAT! YOu can fit stories into pieces.

Actually, this piece of Vivaldi is programatic music (or whatever it’s said in English), so that there’s a story about it and the music must try to reflect it.
Maybe there’s in some web site and you can have fun listening to how musicians perfom what Vivaldi thought :D

D: I was referring to the incessant channel hopping that I would do as well.
