Mel C dropped

Mel C will become the latest Spice Girl to be dropped by her record label, according to reports.

The pop star, considered the only member of the once unstoppable girl band to have any commercial power as a solo artist, will lose her deal in 2004, claims a UK tabloid.

Melanie’s latest single, ’Melt’, limped to number 27 in the UK charts last month, seemingly confirming her dramatic fall from grace in the pop world.

Her debut solo album, ’Northern Star’, was a big seller in numerous territories, with the single ’Gotta Tell You’ reaching the summit of the US singles chart in 2000. However, LP follow-up ’Reason’ stalled in the charts.

A ’source’ at Mel’s label Virgin has claimed that the record company are “no longer convinced she’s got the potential to carry on.”

Melanie C’s public profile has been seriously damaged after she suffered a serious knee injury on UK reality TV show ’The Games’.

I think Mel C is great, but I have to say, I was somewhat dissappointed by her latest album, I mean, it was good, but nothing compared to Northern Star! I didn’t know that she was in the US charts in 2000! What positions did she reach and did both single and album get into the charts?

This is not a question about Mel C actually, but I would like to know if someone knows what’s the name of a Victoria’s song where David Beckham sings chorus. Or was it just a dream of mine? :-p

gotta tell you? wasn’t I turn to you her big hit internationally?
